Well, what can i say ? I visited my local dogging site near the Water Park, manchester and was horrified to see gangs of lads hanging around like a bus terminal.
No wonder no one bothers anymore, they weren't particularly nice either. I would suggest it would be dangerous to visit late at night, if these people decide to join in uninvited you don't know who they are and probably never will.
The only decent dogging i have seen recently was a daytime one, near Bolton, you know the place, and there were a couple and due to it being 2 pm only 2 of us there. Safe and fun.
Daytime dogging everyone !! All the idiots are probably still in bed after hanging around in car parks til 4 am.

Well, at the Water Park a couple parked at the back of the first car park and did a great display, then at the A66 layby a couple made it obvious what they wanted then drove off to a wooded area where things continued, by the nearby reservoir.
After that i'm sure everyone knows quiet spots local to themselves, and pre arranged meets can be had.
The regular spots are still full of cars at 10 pm.

I'm surprised you found a couple at that lay-by. Whenever I've passed through on the way elsewhere (purely on the offchance!) it's been totally gay. The strange thing is that unlike other places, they don't seem to make any effort to hide their performances, considering it's a legitimate B road and they are in full view of the passing cars!
