Salcey finished?

Well, it had to happen sooner or later! We turned up at Salcey forest on friday night, all full of anticipation.....only to find the bloody barrier across the entrance!! sad

Was I pissed off, or what!! mad

Luckily, they can't lock off the other car 's a bit more open, but we had fun anyway. It wasn't half wet though....outside the car as well as inside!! wink

Full marks to the guys who turned up regardless of the rain. Thanks, fella's!! biggrin

I do wonder though, if the barrier is going to be across every night now. Anyone know?

according to the ranger (based at yardley hastings) it will be locked at dusk every evening.
But if there is a car in there with no owner present, they don't lock it.
Hit-n-miss really.
It's been locked quite a lot recently.

Local guy would love to join in the fun at Salcey. What night is there action?
Been to a couple of other Northants sites (Pitsford and A43) and found lots of cars cruiising through but no action!

Thanks again for Friday night. I arrived full :twisted: , but left empty, happy, and satisfied!!!! biggrin

As for the barrier if it is to remain over the entrance is it time to move on to warmer domains?
We've discussed the idea before, let me know what you think.
Can't make it to Salcey this Friday night, but will be in touch (are you guys free Saturday night?)
