I had quite a bad experience last weekend....Maybe others should know about it, and locals should know the place i am talking about. I arranged a meet (with more than one) at a well known seaside location in Humberside. I had a good time but when all had left another car came into the site (I was on my own) with a young couple in and parked at the side of me. They put their window down and asked what I was looking at? Well they had parked next to me very close so I told them that I was looking at them. They then proceeded to call me perv etc etc. So i calmly started my car and drove off, with them following close behind. I carried on going and as some of you know I live in Doncaster, some 40 miles away. I got onto the motorway thinking that they would just turn around and go away, they didn't, they followed all the way to Doncaster and came off the motorway and followed me into the town centre, at this time I wasn't going to let them know where i lived so proceeded to pull into the Doncater Police Station Car park. This is when they turned around and went away, luckily I could see they had gone from where i parked so they were not waiting for me.
Very nerve racking, didn't get the number of the car but know what sort it is. Can a moderator let me know if i can post on here the type and colour of the car to warn others?
The last laugh I suppose is the petrol they used.
Sorry to hear of your experiences but you mustn't post any identifying information about the car or the people. Of course, if others want to PM you then that is different.
:P
Just a question - why can't people post details of "dodgy" cars to warn others. Can't see any harm in it and it helps to alert other doggers as to who to whatch out for. Certainly there is nothing illegal in doing so.

This site has it's own rules which go beyond legal issues. What is wrong with it is that people could abuse it and just post any old car details as a 'joke' or for revenge. It's the very same reason we don't allow telephone numbers or unverified emails addresses to be posted.

you could have reported it to the police, especially as you went to the police station to scare them off. Certainly worth reporting it even now with the basic details you know. They wont be able to act on it, but the information is useful to them, should the same thing happen either to you or someone else. All parts of the jigsaw and adds credence to you should it happen again.
