A local west yorkshire newspaper has headlines of a local dogging site on the front page. HEADLINES---- ''SEX PESTS'
soz but I'm no sex pest lol

Further down it says 'this area has been highlighted as 'prime spots' for seedy al-fresco sex
wot a load of bull

:jagsatwork: and it goes along these lines I myself find it a frustraiting and down right unfair alleged democrasy that we live in when the press and media are allowed to judge and dictate how ordinary people such as ourselves enjoy a passtime that is shared by thousands of people and causes no harm to others :x Unfortuanley as long as certain narrow minded members of the public allow themselves to be influenced by our so called neutrall media, stories such as this one will continue to be printed because the press see us as an easy way of selling papers rolleyes

Where as I and everyone else who uses this site knows full well that we are all pefectly ordanairy people who just all share a common and healthy intrest in in swinging and dogging. Phew redface

I agree with your sentiments Sheddy but I think you'll find that freedom of the press is part of democracy, no matter how much piffle they print (and they do) they have the freedom to do so thanks to democracy. However, the media are not "allowed to dictate" - it's just that plenty of people find it easier to believe everything they read than to strain a brain cell with independent thought!
In an ideal non judgemental world perhaps dogging would be widely acceptable, it'd be discussed sensibly on GMTV, in restaurants, it would be on the list of Monday morning office chat ....

But let's face it, if it was that socially acceptable eveyone would do it and how much appeal would it have? None of us are sex pests (that I know of!) but I bet most of us quite like the fact that dogging is seen as a bit seedy or risky! biggrin

As always Serendipity you have a more relaxed and better worded aproach to things than me biggrin

but I refuse to forgive any opertunity of crow barring my views in to the public arena lol confused

As for the seedy part being the exciting bit I all so have to agree but it just gets my back up when we all get tarred with big seedy brush that the press like to wield from time to time sad

Would I be correct in assuming that the site has three words the first being a precious metal the second a measurement of area and the third an area to leave your car?

i dont know who these dog walkers are i live round the corner from there and i used to go there quite often but i never ever saw any action there on weekends and week nights shame would of been a good site if built up properly

Back to subject. A few very close friends know that we are into swinging but for some reason or other, I would not want them to know that we are really doggers. Bit hypocritical I know, but I dont want them to know that we are, as the papers describe us, "Seedy Sex Pests" confused
