Can anyone explain to me the difference bertween having a dogging site/location listed on the dogging sites section of swinging heaven and someone mentioning a site on a post ?
I am refering in particular to a well known site in the W-----y B-y area. In the Dogging Sites section clear details are given as to location, car parks etc. But when someone mentioned another, nearby dogging area, not giving precise locations, but naming a nearby pub, one of the moderators nearly had a fit !
I just wondered why we have a Dogging Site section if doggers cant actually mention locations themselves.
Having said that, I agree it would be very foolish to give out a time date etc.
Anyone else have views on this ?

There is enough information on this site to explain it - this policy has been explained MANY times. I am not going to waste my breath explaining it again.
Work it out for yourself why mentioning the name of a pub where "normal" people go is a BAD idea. Desperate swingers may turn up there thinking it is a meeting spot. So does Mr. News of the World Reporter cos he's seen it advertised on a swingers site. I'll leave the rest to your imagination, if you have the intelligence to use your brain in that way.
Now shut up! If you can't understand the rules, just follow them blindly. OK
Well, if thats the attitude of a moderator telling people to "shut up" then I'm not surprised that there has been a lot of unrest on this site for the last few months. I thought the whole idea of a forum was to get people to discuss topics.
My question was a fair one, it was not rudely put, nor did I offennd anyone. Just for the record, I have read the rules, I do understand why they are in place I only asked a simple question which you the moderator have failed totally to answer and in doing so have been very rude. I suspect that if a member had told a moderator to "shut up" they would have been banned.
I do not suppose you will like my reply, you may lock the subject and probably ban me as well. All I can say is that if that is your attitude then I am well out of it.
adventurer..most of the large venues are published on the sites section, if not here, certainly on other websites. it also follows that the moderators cannot keep cross referencing sites mentioned on the forum with sites listed on the locations board. it is just so much easier to not mention sites at all. if the policy were that sites could be mentioned, but only if listed, then it would soon follow on to unlisted sites, then to "the carpark 200 yards down the road from xxxxx"....type thread,.
Now thats what I call a good sensible reply to my origional question. Much better than "shut up"
ps...shut up. biggrin :D
From looking at your profile, I see that you have been a member for 18 months. Surely in that time, you must have seen umpteen threads explaining the reasons why specific location details are not allowed? dunno rolleyes
If not, try using the search button. It's wonderful invention and can find all sorts of information for those who can be bothered to use it confused
As for Blue telling you to shut up, I'm not surprised. Put yourself in her shoes. They get this question asked almost every day of the week ffs! I've no doubt it gets boring and irritating in the extreme evil
She may not have been having a go at your personally. She's probably up to her eye balls with tossers who don't use the search facility before posing questions on the boards

hehehe - sit on the fence TJ why don't ya lol biggrin
See ! that's exactly what I mean about people being rude. I don't mind anybody telling me that i'm wrong, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but why are some people so rude. Why call me a tosser when you dont even know me. There is absolutely NO need to be rude to anyone, and I'm, afraid that being a moderator does sometimes mean that you get asked the same questions again. And my origional question has still not been answered
But ----- never one to cause an argument why not just call this post to a halt we are never all going to agree who is right or wrong, but just dont be rude when you post thats all I ask.
