Why is my topic below locked??

Just a bit confused as to why it has been locked, I hope I haven't said anything that goes against this sites rules.

I'd suggest it's because it's not a thread that's gonna go anywhere. You're putting up a general "thanks" to an unknown couple.
Not much anyone here can contribute is there? wink

Not blocking a thread because its offensive or not according to the rules but because someone deems it to be "not going anywhere". So now the next time mk_guy initiates a thread hes's going to be wondering if its "going anywhere".. never thought that was the general spirit of this forum

we can all rant to our hearts content on here every day
once the rant slips off the bottom of the page then it is usually consigned to oblivion,
someone told me that they go there when they drop off the bottom of page 1
but what the hell was wrong with posting a simple thank you
i might lose my chance of an sh pin here
but i could see no obvious reason why it was suddenly locked

I don't think there was anything wrong with posting a simple "thank you".
That's what it was, and presumably it's achieved it's purpose so it was locked because there's nothing further that could be added to it!
It's not a reason to feel put out and I hope mk_guy won't feel like that. There's no reason to.

I wasn't put out, just thought it was a bit strange, although I do see that if everyone did the same thing this forum would be massive!! The main reason I put the post up is that there is usually little or no action in MK so I was wanting to show that with a bit of patience (alot in my case!!) it does pay off, also there is the slim possiblilty thif the couple involved are members they may venture out again into the barren wastelands that is MK!!

1. It WAS pointless
WAS going no-where
3. The person who posted didn't even know if the couple were members here
4. It would have invited the kind of comments now being said about it - see 1, 2 and 3 for precis.
