Pulled into my local site tonight and was surprised to see a van and car parked up. Parked up a short distance away and within a minute the van flashed its amber light and the car flashed its interior lights followed by headlights. Thinking my luck was in I strolled over in their direction and waited. There seemed to be nothing happening and was then asked by one of the group hanging around what I was doing of. I made an excuse that I was having a break in my journey and stretching my legs and decided it was time to calmly depart. On the steps back to the car one of them started shouting across dogger in a derogatry tone so I left the area smartly. sad

One day I hope to actually do some dogging.
If there are any older couples who want to meet up for someone to watch or anyone can give me advice for somewhere worth going in the cambridgeshire/suffolk/norfolk border area I would be grateful. biggrin

You were very wise to leave when you did. So many nutters these days are using dogging signs (such as flashing the interior) to encourage people to approach them, then they can hurl abuse, or worse - usually their intention is robbery or assault. Some just do it for a laugh or sport. This is the very reason that we don't publicise exact times and meets on the site, and the reason why media intrusion into dogging has proved so nasty.
In future, DO NOT leave your car until you are sure the people that signal to you are REAL doggers - not always easy to tell, but better to be safe than sorry confused

This seems to be an impossible balancing act, Jomu recently referred to couples parking up in laybys but nothing happening as neither got out and realised what they both wanted and at the same time I need to stay in my car for safety until I am sure. How can you be sure? I thought that all those lights flashing was a clear signal but I was obviously labouring under a misapprehension. I'd hate to think a couple were waiting in a car for me to get out before they did anything and then blowing it, especially as my nearest dogging site is a one hour round trip and most others are a two hour round trip.
Oh well perhaps I will see something one day sad

I left around 21:50 and i think the white van you mention had the word METOR or something like it also was with a Dark coloured Fiesta type car parked in the last bay on the middle car park right hand side they were palying football when i there.
These yobs were hassling every body who came in to the downs even if they were there for Non Dogging reason's.
I wont be put off as i would wait untill a reasonable time Hire out a Police uniform and challenge them for Verbal abuse and see what they think then should be a laugh me thinks

I can't remember now what time I was there but we must have almost passed coming in and out of the entrance. That might be an idea but watch out you don't get nicked for impersonating a constable. sad
