Are the A3 works putting folks off? Been a few times recently and construction workers were discussing having had fun but now there is some machinery in the carpark. Just wondered if was contributing to the general fall off in outdoor fun? Happy for anyone to PM me with other good spots nearby that they are visiting instead.

Been there last week.
Machinery still there.

Fun still goes on, there was a Cpl playing...

still active here despite the construction work. Anyone going tomorrow?

probably tonight.......

What’s the best time to go?

Late. Very late.

In summer it goes-on 'til dawn!

Throughout 2024 there will be several full weekend closures of the A3 and M25.

The first two closures are:

Friday 23 February 9pm to Monday 26 February 6am the A3 will be closed in both directions between Send and M25 Junction 10 Wisley Interchange, for demolition works.

Friday 15 March 9pm to Monday 18 March 6am the M25 between junction 10 and 11 in both directions, for demolition works and gantry installation.

It may be worth mentioning that a new bridge and road are being constructed twixt Chatley wood [on the other side of the M25] and Ockham common ['Wisley']. The 'bottom' car-park stays pretty much the same

Anyone about tonight?

Any couples or females still go here?

Not seen any for weeks mainly bi and tvs

My absolute favorite fantasy is to meet up with one or two we guys here and get treated like a beautiful princess

It’s been a bit hit and miss lately

Just wait for the new heathland bridge to be finished, just at the top cafe car park. The remaining trees are going to be felled soon as there is also a 'return to heathland' project running. Video, search wokingnewsandmail website!!!

It really is worth checking the closures and the times they start. Last time I went it was fine getting there just a 45 min run round the M25 (had some fun mainly in lower car park) but on return you had to continue South on the A3 to almost Guildford before being able to go back North and then you couldn't join the M25. Took over 2 hours to get home.

I often wonder if people who eat at those picnic tables during the day knew what happens on them at night would they still use them ?

Some of them used to use the benches at day with the family, then back at night.

The place is a LOT quieter than it was 10 years ago. It used to have loads of people there until dawn, many unclothed [summer!]. When the other side was in operation [RHS carpark] it used to have the London acting crowd at weekends.

If you go towards Guildford and turn-off at the Ripley exit, you can creep north until you hit M25 access

On the occasion I last went the Ripley turn-off was closed and the next exit had diversions sending you East. Yes it is VASTLY quieter I recall it when the lower car park was like an overspill car park as there was no space in the upper one. It was well on the wain even before covid though - partly due to the increasing number of idiots and boy racers who used to turn up and then you had the incident where someone was blinded after someone shot them with an air rifle. Covid kind of killed it but it was starting to pick up a little and then all these works started. Still fun can be had there but more pre-arranged with people who know each other.

And late at night/early morning. It has always been a late place rather than a daytime place.

I drop-in on the return trip home after a Brighton weekend usually, although its use for dogging has been on a downer for years. The last time I was there [2023 summer] the sole couple there said they were only looking for another couple, not single males......

Yes it has gone off a lot now

Anyone heading there anytime soon?
