There are lots of digging sites in North Yorkshire too many to list here. Just do a Google search digging sites North Yorkshire

I'm sure there are lots - it a very big county, but for that reason lots of them are a fair distance away. Also a lot of the info I can find is very out of date. I'm looking for dogging sites not too far away from Knaresborough/Harrogate. There is a Harrogate dogging group on here but apparently no one posts in it which makes me wonder if the local dogging scene might be fairly inactive (don't mean just at the moment with covid - that's to be expected - but generally). Someone mentioned on the A59 near York - anyone know about that? Thanks , Lynn x

I think that's a bit of an exposed and regularly policed spot. I wondered more about the road north of the roundabout from Kirk Deighton, along the old A1

If you drive out of Harrogate on the A59 towards Skipton. Drive past the golf balls. At the Skipton end there is a crossroads (dangerous cross roads) turn left. Near the Sun Inn there is a right turn to Freedom Reservoir. Take that narrow road to the car parks on the dams.

Wow really! I know Ripon well and would have thought that would have been a bit obvious. But the car park is on several levels and I guess the lower level in the corner surrounded by trees could be quite hidden late at night.
