So at last some kind of justice for that poor child. I say justice but lenient may be a better word to use, to describe the sentences handed out today.
I will not even bother to waste my breath on the two guys involved, as words cannot describe what those two are, but they are not human.
My anger relates to this woman, supposedly a Mother, who let her child be systamatically tortured for months on end, and did nothing to stop it.
She has been jailed " indefinatly " but.....says " she must serve at least five years in jail ". Now IF that is her sentence, is five years really enough for this most wicked of Mothers?
None of us was in court to listen to any of the evidence and what reasons may have been given, though no doubt will hear in tomorrows papers. Is this really justice for a child who was tortured to death? Is this really only worth possibly five years in jail?
I thought she would have got a minimum of 15 years for what she allowed to happen to HER child.
Still I live in the hope that " inside " she will suffer. But whatever suffering she does have to deal with, it will not come close to what she allowed to happen to her son.
May her time in jail be a long and scary one, and maybe she will never come out.
Here's a controversial discussion point ! ; one wonders why the hell human dross such as Baby P's parents and the Karen Mathews and her moronic porn addicted boyfriend Craig Meehan were allowed to have kids ?
A difficult question I know, and I guess each case has to be taken individually and can't be turned into a political dogma, but its a question society ought to ask itself.
In cases such as this then I would advocate state imposed sterilisation.
Boils my piss when animals such as these can get parole after such a short period of time.
Don't get me started on the issue of castration (preferably surgical or at least chemical) for bastards that sexually abuse children mad Why the f*ck is it a breach of theirhuman rights when they have done far worse than breach the human rights of their victims. That makes me very cross evil
burn them, end of solution!
The sentances are a complete fucking disgrace!!
Sorry for swearing, but I am SO angry!!
I am really suprised as to the lack of replies on this thread to be honest. Maybe people are just too shocked?
Maybe we should have a system like in the USA where this week a Father was jailed for trying to extort money from a soup company. He laced some cans with a substance. Unfortunatly for him his two young kids ate some of the contents of one of the cans and they nearly died..
The sentence he got???? 100 years in prison with NO chance of parole, and his kids did not even die.
Sorry but in cases like this the justice system stinks, and goes to show just how far out of touch some judges are with reality.
I hope the Government intervene, and get these sentences brought more into line with what they should be.
I feel the lodger should have got five years minimum. The boyfriend should have got twenty years minimum for the killing of baby p, and the case on that two year old should have been a seperate issue completely. The Mother should have also got twenty years minimum.
I think most people would have thought those kind of sentences reflected more on the seriousness of their crimes, than the weak namby pamby ones handed out yesterday.
I feel it is a national disgrace.
In my opinion they were tried under the wrong law. Instead of being tried for "causing or allowing a toddlers death" they should have been tried for murder.
"causing or allowing a toddlers death" carries a maximum of 14 years.
Whilst the mother and boyfriend have been given indeterminate sentences with minimum terms until parole, it still means the parole board could be hoodwinked into letting them free earlier than what they deserve.
She should have got life for murder and he should have got life for murder and the (both to run consecutively and not concurrent)
Blimey we have reached a point where contentious threads result in no contention.

Bearing in mind the subject matter, it is hardly a surprise is it?
Can you imagine the response if anyone posted in support of these 'people'?
The idea of being tried for 'allowing' the death of the child. For God's sake!!!! He didn't break his own spine!!!!!!! One of them did that and the others stood by and let it happen. We have a law of being responsible before and after the fact as well as during.
That makes 2 of them accessories before and after and the other a murderer. That's the minimum that could have happened - how can we assume the other 2 didn't join in with the fun of torturing that poor child?
They shouldn't see that light of day, and as to their human rights? They gave them up - including the ones to personal safety.
i can assure you that lessons from the baby p case has not been learnt as there has been a lot of other cases very similar to this case
but out of curiosaty a couple of ?
but as this is a very touchy subject please keep it amicable with your comments
what would you do if you had knowledge and had reported it to the relevant bodies and nothin was done
what would you do if you was involved in the case and had damning evidence of the failures
would you consider contacting a reporter , local mp advicing this knowledge to them for justice to be done
at what cost would you go to if you may face a court injunction to keep quiet to the press if they contacted you would you stay quiet or would you look for justice
The trouble is that when an error this big happens, the powers to be close ranks.
The Social wallys...sorry workers, close ranks as does every other organisation. People may well knock the press but without them this kind of case would have been shut, by this Government.
People like this should never ever escape the publics anger, and I for one am glad that the press have the powers that they do, when they weed out dreadful human beings like this.

Hate to get into this with you, but in Haringey the only people disciplined were the director, who was sacked, and the social worker, who was sacked.
How is that closing ranks?
Because that is exactly what Government departments do, especially the Social Services side.
If it was not for the papers, none of this would ever come to light, and how convenient would that be for the Government?
I have had dealings close hand with Social services, and I can tell you that they do close ranks, and it is all done behind closed doors.....fact.
An independant inquiry was undertaken from my local authority over that very matter, and the case was found in my favour. What happened though? Jack shit...the Social worker involved was given a tap on the back of her hand. Yeah thats justice for ya.
Social services are not very high on my agenda for acting in a right and proper manner. On that I will leave it.
