now we all know the internet and mobile phones and sat navs and dyson balls have been life changers.....but I was thinking of small things that you think are great and have changed the world for the better.
I'll start us off with .....MICROWAVE RICE.... a truly fantastic innovation in my opinion. I could never quite get the consistency of rice right. It was either to hard or to soggy.....now 2 mins in the microwave and I have perfect steaming hot rice every time. True genius.

Sat Navs. A brilliant invention and to think you put in a postcode the other side of the country, or to the other side of Europe on occasion, and hey presto it sends the info back to you car via a satellite in space and takes you all the way there. Incredible.
must admit....I turn sound off on mine....I just get so irritated at the bloody woman telling me to turn left on 300 yards....turn left on 200 yards...turn left in 100 yards....you are at the island..turn left !!! by this time I am shouting back...yes I F*cking know....you told me three times already....I'm not deaf or thick you know !!!!
