So after too long, swingy has finally got his bike back on the road, many fellow bikers on here ?

I did have a bike once but my stabilizers fell off 🙄

As I think maybe you know.... I have a 1200 GS, have ridden bikes all my life after being introduced to them in Edinburgh aged eleven by a young Simon McCorkindale (later the actor) !! by swingyandalphabetty

So after too long, swingy has finally got his bike back on the road, many fellow bikers on here ?

Ahh yes, we did see that

1250GS here 😎 Get out on it as much as I can, although my partner isn't into bikes, she encourages me to ride whenever I have the time. Got a tour up to Scotland later in the year with some mates. Can't wait!!

Toured Scotland many times as I'm originally from Edinburgh, fabulous scenery but you do have to watch the weather, can also be vicious with the dreaded midge 🪰!!

Swingy has only ridden up there once ... to go to knockhill .... in the rain ! that was not fun !

Matlock is often an option for us be good to meet up for a brew when the sun is shining

I used to very much enjoy riding my trusty Honda CB250 back in the day but lost 3 of my friends in motorbike accidents (Kawasaki Z1 and Suzuki GT550) in less than 2 years and that put me off forever. Each to his/her own but not for me. Enjoy but stay safe.

I reckon most folk that have been riding a decent length of time will have lost friends in accidents, I certainly have, the latest last November. And despite two big 'offs' since starting 50 plus years ago, i still get so much from riding and continue to do it, as part of social long weekends inc camping with good pals. Quote by osemlover

Matlock is busy today

if the weather is decent enough, might pop out near royston on sat or sun, and depending on fucktoys eye

Let the good weather continue - matlock bath is always a nice ride out

its good for chips ! but you do have to avoid the speed traps !! lol

Going to get the bike taxed and back on the road next month (May) hoping for warm summer riding !

Been on bikes all my life, lost some good mates. Came close myself a couple of times.
used to love the camping and partying, but cant do tents anymore. But hey that's what motorhomes are for, among other things. Not been to Matlock for a while now, but still get out fairly regular.

hoping the weather is nice Sunday 30th April, and we can get out and about in hertfordshire

I've got two bikes, love it :-) Get out all the time ...... Europe next month amongst other trips :-)

We have yet to do a major trip, its normally just pinging around near our location at the time
