Hot news - King Kenny gets the sack and Saurez has a King Kenny t-shirt printed in protest.
Personally I think he should have stayed and kept the team mid table, but the supporters happy. I mean God forbid the owners, unlike the fans, might want to make progress.
Adios Kenny, no longer King and probably tarnished long ago from the sorry Suarez affair - his mid table position being a good enough excuse to give him the push.
Roy Hodgson for Liverpool anyone? Oh hang on a minute - he is England Manager now - the irony of the great game..........

a real liverpool legend to many and i think he was not given enough time.
they won the carling cup and were runners up in the FA cup, funnily enough 2 out of the 3 domestic cups. still with american owners who know nothing about loyalties and history and hillsborough, and kennys involvement with liverpools history over 30 years. and the besotted attitudes now of clubs owned for foreign managers with foreign cups over our domestic ones, kenny did not stand a chance.
i think he will be missed and on the news tonight capello is in the running  and the amercian owners think he will do better? the yanks should have kept with baseball and that other silly game of american football that no bugger over here understands.

Indeed it is ironic. Hodgson will never be asked back to Liverpool, had he not been sacked, Liverpool would have finished the previous season a lot lower than mid table.
Let's also not forget that it was Liverpool who went a calling on Daglish, not the other way around. He could have quite easily stayed upstairs and not put himself under all the pressure but Kenny is a Liverpool man through and through and wanted to do his bit for the club.
I for one, still have the utmost respect for Daglish and am sorry to see him sacked.

as do i max i think the man did far more than his bit for Liverpool
to the fans he will always be king kenny unlike the very poor sport and disgrace they call Alex Ferguson probably the worse ambassador to the sport of all time
why do supporters have to knock other managers instead of commenting on Dalglish. Fact is Roy Hodgson was not given the time at Liverpool, Ferguson's record speaks for itself...Dalglish has had the money to spend, and as of yet those transfers don't look good value. In my view one season is not really enough, and again the owners have acted in a knee jerk manor. For Lverpool it seems finishing 8th and below everton is not good enough !! Well I have news for you....get used to it. Liverpool are a spent force. Your name and proud history does not gain you points !! Supporters and it seems the owners, feel the team has a god given right to be in the Champions League !!
Hey it could be worse....you could be a Wolves suppporter like me !!!

because as a football supporter yourself it is what peeple do, it is all part of the historics of the game.

fact is liverpool was not the right club for hodgson at that time, he even admitted as much some time later. of course fergusons record speaks for itself and no manager i think will achieve in english football what he has, but he was the manager of the first/second biggest club in the world so it was king of expected. dalglish spent money of course but blimey dean he has only been there a year. why do peeple expect instant success because they spend huge sums on players?

i think that if there was a major reason is that, finishing below everton.

well being champions only a few years ago with one of the biggest ever comebacks in a final, and the fact they had finished top 4 for years, they kind of expected to finish top 4. now though you have money bags city, and even spurs looking at the 4th spot. even with all chelsea money they still could not finish top 4, so it is not all about money and great players the manager is the missing cog in a big wheel.

well i kind of have admired your team this year. i loved mick mcCarthy as a person and a manager. a manager from the old school but got him nowhere. so they sacked him and replaced him with i am sorry to say a loser. i think wolves played some great football this season but when lady luck shone, it was not on your club. i hope you come straight back up, but kinda doubt it.
i hope that the final on saturday is a good one, and that even though my team were beaten by chelsea, that they go on and lift the cup, and then spurs do not get into next years champions league. that would be a super result.
Kenny obviously made one big mistake I think.
He did not ask the board and owners what they expected him to do with a club that were free falling down the premiership table and had big problems in the dressing room, I would have been telling the board that the best I could do was save them from relegation, bring some hope to the fans and with some cash, invest in some players that could start to gel together for next season. That if they wanted any guarantee of more they should give the managers job to Harry Potter because the magic was gone.
Things haven't been right at the club for many seasons, whilst Chelsea, Tottenham, City and the like have been investing big money on building teams, Liverpool have spent an average amount on above average players but not a team.
The Premier League has changed since the Liverpool glory days, Everton knew it, Kenny did ok with what he was given, for a while the sparkle was back on the pitch and they got some great results but they couldn't keep it up, they did brilliantly in the domestic cups and they brought silverware into the cabinet, how many clubs have done that this season, Manchester United didn't, (unless you count the Charity Shield win over Manchester City but that is not the kind of silverware that clubs cherish.
Shame on those that got the club in this position then sacked Kenny as the scapegoat.
I was against the support given to Suarez when we was in the wrong but that was just another bad descision of the board, it is obviously higher up than the manager that Liverpool fans should be looking to sack people, for resignations or for changes.
Sir Alex Ferguson, abassador for football, no of course he isn't but his achievments speak for themselves, the time when Managers could be ambassadors is long gone, now money and results are all that counts and if you want a job you have to forget the niceties and WIN.
So who is going to replace him???
All the talk and all the money seems to be on Martinez. Reading the comment on the various LFC blogs and comments on the Liverpool Echo news story it seems as though Sr Martinez will be getting the Roy Hodgson treatment from the "supporters."
No good enough, too small, no experience, not a big enough name blah, blah, blah. Who was de Matteo is terms of name, stature and experience? All that money wasted previously at Chelski and in the end a young, talented and hungry new manager got more out of the existing squad than any "name." before him and delivered two trophys including the Holy Grail.
Liverpool supporters seems like a deluded bunch to me. Not for one second will a big name Manager guarantee to bring what they seem to think is their right and any new name will be expecting a war chest to strengthen their squad which is probably not high on the American owners priority list. I reckon that the Owners are doing the right thing in looking for a young and hungry manager who can get more out of the team that the Club already has. Listening to real football people and people in the game, Martinez is very highly thought of all round and it will be a big loss to Wigan to see him go and a gain for Liverpool.

Brendan Rodgers from Swansea.
The campaign to get rid of him starts here.
Just better point out I'm not a Lolerpool fan, btw.

I think your post shows two things. First how little you know about LFC and its supporters and second how little you know about football. First off LFC supporters were actually quite divided about the sacking. Personally I would say that divide came in the form of older supporters who know how LFC works what to expect and that you dont buy success in one season. Against the newer younger we spent some money and want 4 trophys in the first full year brigade. The later being products of the modern football world. One trophy, one final was easily enough to secure at the very least a mandate to improve league form in the first half of next year or be sacked. Nothing like offering a man a challenge. LFC results against the bigger teams this year were not bad at all showing that all that is/was needed is some steadying of the ship for the following season.
As for Chelsea? Ignore the league Chelsea didnt make the UCL by the league only by winning the competition. They literally gave up on automatic qualification. Football sometimes hinges on luck when you get it you have to ackknowledge it. Chelsea could count themselves very lucky to have 2 trophys this season, next time that result against Barcelona could be 6-2 lol and you cant expect to play that badly in the FA cup final and win all the time. Matteo got some improved league form which happens all the time when a new manager is in place. He got lucky in some cups and Chelsea continued to do what they were already doing in those cups when AVB was in charge. Far too early to make any kind of judgement on the man TBH.

did they? when exactly was that then dunno i think the only time they gave up was when it was mathematically impossible to qualify outright. unless you are privy to behind the scenes news tweeky?

a few coulds there tweeky dont you think?
yes chelsea were fortunate but maybe they had a dreadful manager there in AVB when they were awful? maybe with di matteo then in charge chelsea started playing how we all know they can and have over many years.
yes you need a little luck to win a trophy, but winning the champions league was partly luck and partly damn good players outwitting the barcelona failed to beat chelsea home or away, you telling me that was all luck?
