First impressions...

Someone told me recently that I'm painfully honest and it made me think about how we come across to people we're meeting for the first time. Do you just let them have the real you or are you guarded and hold something back?
If someone wrote down their first impression of you, what would it say?

I've been told in the past that people's first impressions of me are that I'm guarded and hard to get on with.
Quite possibly a fair assessment. I am quiet when I first meet people, I like to suss them out. It takes me a long time to get to know someone, and I don't let people know me easily.
Then on the other side, other people say that I'm easy going and look sociable with strangers :eeek:

Same as blue, i keep quiet, and see what others have to say.
If they are talking pants, then i tell them so lol

Otherwise, i just hide in the corner, until i get to know folk.

im always polite and friendly.
see no point in being rude or funny with someone until they give me a reason to be.

Mr Tigs has always and will always be the one that sits in the corner and keeps himself to himself...he doesnt do socialising lol

On the other hand Im normally the one flitting around a room either talking to everyone or sitting in the the corner with Mr Tigs because I have dragged someone over and Im chewing their ear off with my insistent nattering :lol:

Me too also :thumbup: - however, that doesn't stop people taking their own first impressions of me. I once worked at a very large car dealers, and apparently I can come across as a bit snooty :shock: :shock: My best friend worked there long before I did, and someone (who I'd never spoken to!) asked her who "that stuck up new girl with the posh walk" was :shock: rotflmao

Wtf is a posh walk anyway??? I've heard of a posh wank, but not a posh walk FFS :lol2:
