Not convinced by that Cher fella in goal.
Hate to point out the obvious... but the final is usually between three people. wink
Not sure why you'd feel the urge to put this up here to be honest, what was your thinking? dunno
He knows, we don't.
Information is power.
it'll still mean fuck all to me on Monday, mind...
Not a lot of point in doing this thread to be honest.
We enjoy X factor here and I have no intention of finding out who has or has not gone through.
I will watch tonight and I know who my money is on.

It was spot on. I'm now more inclined than ever to believe the whole thing is fixed.

Why?
Because some dirty swinger who puts keys in the bowl and has Pampas grass outside their house said so???

Nope, my two sentences are totally seperate.
Because two of the groups that got through are the ones that the judges put together and because Cher was put through despite an absolutely terrible performance, the worst of her group.

But does it matter? It's still entertainment for a lot of people. Can't see why VV felt the need to post the list.

If it's fixed, I think it does matter but that's just a personal opinion. The result was leaked onto the internet so could be seen elsewhere.

Were they still accepting bets in the bet shops on this result prior to the TV announcement?

A few things about this years competition. First from the judges houses the worst set of contestants to go through yet. I think only Louis choose fairly from his category. From the groups Simon's section only one group of all the thousands that applied got through as once again the two groups manufactured by the judges got the other two places. If one of these ever wins it will be the true definition of manufactured pop group. Also through Katie Waissel and Nicolo Festa two people who have both commented in interviews that they seem to think they have some birth right or destiny to be famous. Honestly that kind of deluded shit does nothing for me at all, plus Katie Waissel totally fucked up her final audition and still got through. Oh and lets not forget she also forgot her words in the first audition confused??: I'll not start on Cher!!! cus that was just utterly ridiculous. I feel actually quite sorry for the other girls in the girls section who had good performances and got ass fucked by Cheryl.
Overall the competition lacks any of the quality of last years contestants. It seems one will always develop during the show but I'll have fun anyway hoping all the assholes get voted out biggrin
Good points Tweeks.
Cher should never have gone through, even though her first audition was brilliant. She fucked up on boot camp and fucked up is an understatement at Cheryl's house. She was even asked if she wanted to come back later, but she refused. That is dreadful for the other contestants who sang their hearts out, and one of the other girls I thought was very good.
Cher is way too fragile to be able to cope with the pressures now, and I can see her being pulled from the show when the live shows start.
The groups were a joke with his selections....Mrs777 was gutted as one of the groups who did not get through she thought they were all hunks.
One or two that stand out this year, but the rest are second rate pub performers.
I had big hopes for Cher but for whatever the reasons she does NOT deserve to be there now.....another girl got booted off when she deserved to go through....shameful.
So what's 'The Big Twist' going to be?
My money's on some kind of sudden death arrangement with one or more of the ousted acts being given the chance to come back at the expense of one of the fame whores...
Of course it's a fix. Some of these acts knew they were through before they even auditioned. It has always been like this.

My money is going to be on a wild card 13th person onto the live shows. wink

I dont think its fixed but it is more guided. If you take X factor vs Pop Idol then with Pop idol the public began voting when there were still 50 contestants left. There were five groups of ten contestants and the top two of each group went into the final ten. In series two there were twelve final contestants but this still included one extra voted for by the public like a best runner up and only one extra selected by the judges. Compare that to the X factor and we dont vote until only twelve are left. Even once we have voted the judges still decide who leaves up until about the fifth round then its all on the votes. So What Simon has done has controlled the series a lot more so its more likely someone he wants will win. I preferred the Pop idol voting format.
Big twist will that the folks just eliminated will be back and one from each section will either get voted in by the public(good money spinner to get the ball rolling) or voted in by the judges. Giving us 16 acts to watch rather than 12.

So when Simon approaches a former contestant and says 'you'll be in the final if you enter this time, no problem' he's not making a prediction then?

Do you have evidence to support this?
He IS the X Factor whether people like it or not.
The show is a massive hit and he does what he needs to do, to maintain it's popularity.
His show his rules............simples.

Thats fine up until people pay to vote. Its illegal to rig a system where people pay as we have seen many times over recent years. Thats why he keeps the judges in charge until late in the competition when there are only 4-5 contestants and maybe only 2-3 with an actual chance of winning. Simon is probably happy with any of the 3 winning. Thats why I preferred the Pop Idol voting system.
I agree that Simon is the Xfactor but if we are honest if it was still Pop idol being shown on the TV the ratings would be identical.

A friend I trust who made it to boot camp has told me about it. I trust him.

A trap door opening up under them, dropping them into a vat of molten steel.....
or a guillotene...
Both pretty sudden and that would make really interesting veiwing! Can we have that for Big Brother too (when it magically reappears as I'm convinced it will)?

He does not need Xfactor to make money, should have taken his Dictaphone lol and a tabloid newspaper phone number.
More than 40,000 fans of X Factor reject Laura White have urged Ofcom to start an investigation into voting procedures on the show

Think we have been there before Blue with X Factor.
Bottom line is Cheryl Cole should never have picked Cher for the live shows. She is obviously a bit on the tender side mentally, and she did not and does not deserve to be there.
Not so much of a fix, but certainly not fair if it is supposed to be a talent show. Cher showed talent on her first audition, but fucked up big time the next two.
Another contestant better than her, did not go through when she deserved too, and that stinks to me.
