fixed, inevitable outcome TV ,,,,,,, what a load of shit
I didn't know her name last month.
Now I do.
I imagine I am not alone.
Not a bad result if one craves celebrity.
watching these shows doesn't make you brain dead..mine is working perfectly fine..in all 3 languages..:jagsatwork:
Does it really matter if they're contrived or fixed? Watching these programs is like watching a bit of panto..or flicking through a trashy magazine..a bit of easy entertainment (after having exhausted your brain all day!)
Don't Watch ...............
I USED to be a celebrity get me out of here (got the attention I needed now)
X Factor
Made in Chelsea and born with a spoon in my mouth thinking I am better than anyone else
Big (I will do anything for fame and money) Brother
BUT, I have no problem with anyone else watching them, I don't think it makes them brain dead, I will not abuse or insult them for what they enjoy, I wll not tell them what is right and what is wrong to watch.
I do enjoy some reality TV
Come Dine With Me
Four in a Bed
Many various cookery programmes
Wife Swap
Hotel Inspector
Seaside Challenge
Undercover Boss
etc (oooh looking at the two lists it's like (been a celebrity once/wanna be celebrity versus, this will be fun but not make me famous or famous again.
The voting on Celebrity seems relatively honest.
The X factor process is inherently corrupt. Leaving the final choice between two candidates decided by the judges (whether they are impartial or not) means that the public vote counts for nought. This wouldn't matter at all if the voting process were free of charge. But it isn't, so essentially the process is a mass fraud. This fraud is even more shocking if, as I suspect, Cowell uses his position of power to remove candidates he don't want to see in the final as the opportunity arises.
On Big Brother they silence any 'contaversial' discussion. This means that almost the entire transmission is in silence. Mind you - that is probably an improvement.
But watching it isn't any wierder than watching those vile programmes such as Jeremy Kyle. If your neighbours' family was falling apart emptionally; dealing with child abuse and other traumas would you pull your sofa up to their front window and settle back with your cuppa and Custard Creams to watch them suffer? Of course not - why does being on TV make it ok to vouyer it all? The fact they are willing to expose themselves does not justify our salivating all over their suffering.
