morning kenty lol
im still on french time mate
I called at Marks and Spencer's food hall today for a few items whilst in town. Most of the customers were older white "middle class" people, I did wonder if they all realized that the firm was built up by a Jewish entrepeneur.
Anyway, the point of this is, that all the checkouts were about six deep, then I noticed one that had only two persons in the queue - it was manned by a muslim lady with a head scarf. I slipped in and was quickly and politely served.
Just to close, I attended a conference recently where we were told that every morning there are over 100 different languages spoken over the breakfast tables of London.

I think its wonderful that the world is opened up to us by having such diverse communities... learning about new cultures and countries that some of us will never get a chance to visit. I love it smile
Fortunately by living in the UK I do not have to go abroad to learn about other cultures.
