iPhone 4s advice

Nowt to do with swinging or SH but here goes lol -
My iPhone 4s is playing up, cant hear music when i play it, cant hear the sound on videos etc and the slider bar for the sound has disappeared off the screen and the keyboard clicks, even though switched on, arent sounding - however, its does ring and make sound when texts come through
so before I head down to EE and get really shirty with them :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: does anyone have any ideas what it could be?

whack some headphones in and see if you get sound through those, let me know the outcome.

It could be that the side switch has been set to mute mode:

If you set the side switch to lock rotation (rather than sound) it might start working again.

I had the same issue Kat, I went to the apple store and he got a little pin type thing and scrapped out a load of fluff and stuff from the ear phone thingy type bit. Then it worked fine.
Needless to say I didn't need to go to the apple store and I could have done it myself.

That was my first suspicion magik, sometime putting earphones in and out a few times works. A quick blast of IPA cleaning solvent and a good blow (Not saying anything Kat :gaggedsmile can also work.

erm nope it didnt Frazer , ive tried everything suggested and still not working, so off i go to the apple Store :bounce:

soz Freser redface nope and ive done the clean the headfone socket out with a q-tip malarkey sad

Sent you instructions on how to reboot it, you wont lose any files of folders, unfortunately Im not much of an apple fan so if that doesn't help I'm a bit stuck.

Well its still playing up so its a trip out to the EE shop i think, either that or claim its been stolen and get a new one bolt
