Oooh... what make is it?
Sasha has 2 puppies, no seriously, we went to the RSPCA in Derby last bank holiday, saw a lovely little dog, then another, we went to the office and told them which one we liked but they told us that though there had been a lot of interest in them they had been brought up together and they didn't want to split them up, so yes we have 2 new dogs.
Tilly is a 14 month old bitch, some form of Spaniel (who cares which)
Spencer is a 4 yr old Dog and a Westinghouse Terrier or something like that.
They really do love each other and fret if they are apart for more than a minute.
They are settling in nicely and we love them to bits.
A strange thing we thought was that each of the dogs available had a sign on the pen with the dogs history (as much as was known) and a price of £120, when we said we would take both dogs they quoted us £350, can't understand why we had to pay more for 2 than we would have taking just one, well apart from having to pay double we thought.
Still they are worth every penny and if I wanted a cheap dog I would have got a free one on the net but I wanted one from a pound.
Puppieeeeees!!!!! Pic request for awwing and cooing purposes formally put in Funlovers. Kthx. smile
Is this the sharing recent additions thread? I've been dying to put a thread up I have. Fit to bursting with excitement kinda thread. Why I'm up posting at stupid o'clock when I should be sleeping with work in an hour 'n 'alf. No good, not happening. Worried it might be a bit self-indulgent, putting a whole thread up, like fishing a bit, you know? Now I'm worrying if I post it here it might be a bit hijacking of your thread? What to do? T'is most troubling. confused I think I'll just post this for now:

Oh, is that the time already? Must dash. Gotta be at work in 15 minutes to open up. Likely to be extremely busy, possibly, I highly doubt I'll be able to update till . . . . .
:P
It's a ikkle border collie. We already have a black and white one, this one is red and white (but it looks quite blonde). He looks like a ikkle baby polar bear!!
I might put a pic on later so you can all see how cute he is!
Neil, feel free to hijack if you have something new!

Marginly jealous as I love Border Collies, such wonderfull dogs who just love to spend thier time with humans whilst protecting whatever it is around them (sheep other dogs, cats etc) but that said I do love our new dogs
i volunteer my time for a local small rescue in my are .. i dont help out physically with the animals per say. but i have fostered them in the past and help out with the fundraising. and always recommend a rescue whenever possible. i have 2 dogs 2 cats a terrapin all rescues and a goldfish 1 of the kids won at a fair. lol feel like a zoo at times but worth the time and effort

Awwww We've had both types of dog in the past and they are so lovely. We loved our pug but I adored my beagle, he was a right character.I could write a book about his wayward adventures. He was always up to mischief, whereas our pug would let anyone into out home but had a devil of a job getting back out
All fun tho - we had a guinea pig we found in the woods adjacent to the garden so he lived with our rabbit in the house, along with our dogs and cats - all snuggled up together. Guinea pig sat on the dogs head inbetween his ears eating toast (pig loved toast), rabbit cossied up between dogs legs and the cats laid across them all - with a paw on the rabbits head
Only time I had a problem with all being in the house was when my health visitor left, got in her car, went to get her car keys from her handbag - poor women screamed her off to find the guinea pig making himself at home.

We were going to rescue a dog but wanted a puppy so that we know it will be ok with the kids, eapecially with our youngest being autistic. You can't always tell what older dogs have been through. It worked out about the same cost to buy this one from a farm as to rescue a dog. I do feel a little bad but at least I know his background.
4 of our chickens were rescued though so I have done my bit for animal welfare.

Aw cool, possibly my favourite type, or top 3 anyways. Had a border collie / lab cross a good few years back. He was nuts, absolutely barking ( Sorry! rolleyes ) but super personality, worshipped the ground we all walked on, boundless energy and enthusiasm for the daftest things. Hope you like long walks Funlovers cos you ain't ever tiring him out that's for sure! ;) Enjoy.

OK then, but only to put Cubes out of his misery . . . . .
I am an UNCLE! biggrin:cool::D:cool::D My sister brought two beautiful little boys into the world on Saturday. I can't remember when I've ever been so happy. I've hardly known what to do with it all weekend, bursting out sobbing every time a new pic comes through to me Facebook ( She's 150 miles away. ) and laughing me bleedin' head off all at the same time. Best. Feeling. Ever! Can't wait till I get down there at the weekend and get to have a little hold of 'em. :D:love::D:love::D

I have ..... a holiday and thus don't have a dog. Dog owners of the world should know that when you announce your holidays we all run for the hills avoiding the inevitable question. Luckily I am fully armoured with the "Cat" defense :smug:
Seriously don't mind dogs had one for years but now just prefer other peoples lol

Is it bad and wrong to say if I was a small child I think I might actually be a bit bloody scared by this particular Uncle Neil. Looks bloody frightening on some of his pics.
