I urge everyone to take all measures to attempt to purge the grey squirrel population as attempts are made to re introduce native Reds.
The grey squirrel is destructive and a natural pest responsible for the massive reduction in Thrush songbird and blackbird populations as well as being a carrier of the Squirrel pox to which the Grey is immune but the Reds are not.
Kill a Grey squirrel today - do your country and your wildlife friends a favour and lets try to rid our country of this vermin.
Living in rural France, I have not seen a grey for over 4 years but regularly see reds. They are truly magnificent creatures. Their colour is astonishingly vibrant.
leeve the poor grey squirrel alone.
some times i wish there was a robot out there that could hunt down humans that irritate other peeple.
animals in the maine are far better creatures than the majority of human beings are.:notes:
i would rather have a bunch of grey squirrels living next door to me than the currenty horrid toss pot of a neighbour that i do at the moment.
I live in a lovely place where Reds run free.
Greys are nothing more more than bushy tailed rats.
I support the cause, but only because I'm not one of the fluffy liberal brigade when it comes to nature.

The ultimate ethical meal: a grey squirrel
It tastes sweet, like a cross between lamb and duck. And it's selling as fast as butchers can get it.
It's low in fat, low in food miles and completely free range. In fact, some claim that Sciurus carolinensis - the grey squirrel - is about as ethical a dish as it is possible to serve on a dinner plate.
~ squirrel legs, front or rear, amount depends upon how hungry you are
~ beer
~ garlic powder
~ pepper
~ salt
~ minced onion
~ hickory smoked bacon
Soak the legs in beer for 2 – 3 hours. Remove and drain.
Sprinkle to taste with garlic powder, pepper, salt and the minced onion.
Wrap each leg with bacon. Secure with toothpicks if necessary.
Place on hot grill. Cook over medium heat until cooked through.
Serve with your favorite sides.
Enjoy.
Can you cook?
I can’t, but I do have a speciality – squirrel. I’ve been running a campaign to wipe out grey squirrels, and I’m a dab hand at flash-fried squirrel with garlic and butter. Skinning it is quite difficult, then you quarter it. Really you want to marinate it because there’s no fat on a squirrel.
