lots of ppl in these topics shouting on about labour this n labour that, i do hope the condervatives win, and then give it a few months then it will be the con's this and the con's that. and at the end of the day thay are all as bad a each other and nothing will change, well maybe Vat will go up to 22% under the con's
Their anbition and drive and wish to be an elcted representative in the UK politicla system are sufficient causes for me not to trust any of them as far as I could throw them.
problem is really....you can't see the join between new labour and the conservatives. David cameroon just keeps quite and keeps head down.....but in reality his party advocate most of the things..that poeple are now moaning about with current government. The fact is..almost without a doubt..the conservatives will win the next election by de-fault, as it will be more a protest vote against the current labour administration. Then we will see....if he is a leader or not. I do fear for the less well off, as we all know difficult decisions have to made to save money in the future....!!
The biggest problem any Government has had to face is the recent one, of the expenses scandal. Cameron at least got his party by the balls and shook them hard.
Labour and its MP's were the main problem with the ammounts and reasons they nicked the money. Even Brown has had to pay money back.
This lot are out it is as simple as that, they know it and the electorate know it. The question will be by how much. If the polls are anything to go by and they ain't usually far out, they are in for a bit of a trumping.
The main issues for me at the next election will be.....immigration, health, and Europe, as I feel that is one of the biggest hidden dangers this country faces...being semi run by unelected twats from Europe with tony ( I am a saint ) Blair at the helm.
Also what kind of cuts the Tories will have to make to get us all out of the shit, with regards to the wankers/bankers scandal.
I have voted Labour in the past, but never again. They have destroyed so many good things about this countries history, and their immigration policy, or open door policy, has helped to put a financial nail into a lot of local Governments pockets.
Tories for me this time, but it will take years, if ever, for them to return Britain to the great country it once was, instead of the laughing stock across Europe that it has now become.....push over Britain at your service sir!!
I'd like to see a coalition government, (trying hard not to say hung parliament on this site). If no single party gets an overall majority then the smaller groups could hold the ballance of power, a kind of proportional representation scenario.
It is the only way things are likely to change even slightly.
Cameron has publicly stated that any of his lot who refuse to repay any monies that they are asked to, will not be allowed to stand at the next election. Whether that be for his own benefit or not, at least its taking some action in the right direction.
Some people can't win either way it seems!!
it makes absolutely no difference who you vote into her majesty's parliament. its all theatre for our consumption and to maintain the myth of democracy. her majesty's government will serve the interests of the economically most powerful institutions in society and that aint us. that goes for "new" labour, "modern" conservative, old liberal or any other of "her majesty's governments" or her "loyal" opposition.
as the congress in the u.s. serve's wall st, so parliament serve's the city and we, in main st, will have to pay for it!
Staggers.....the worst load of crap this Government has brought in, is the dreaded Human Rights crap.
Ol Maggs would never ever have tolerated that piece of rubbish.
They have fecked up big time with that, as people who should have no rights, are having solicitors bending over backwards to use the Human rights laws.
Criminals are using it to escape punishment, and the most mad thing I have heard is that prison officers have to wear trainers of a night, as they are not allowed to wake them....it is their human right to sleep peacefully.
I know that to be true as a prison officer told me.
Human rights laws......fine if it is used correctly, and not to be used by people deliberately exploiting it.
Good old Maggie instigated most of this "human rights crap" by negotiating the Maastricht treaty her little boy John bloody signed it...so that would be conservatives not labour...
P.S. if i were a prison officer i think i'd rather wear trainers......sleep deprivation is considered torture under the Geneva convention....let the buggers sleep it's common sense
