I just wanted to send a message of love, thoughts and support to anyone who has lost a loved one in the line of duty and to anyone who has been injured or affected by war. Today is a very special day of remembrance, being both Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday. I know that today is an important day for several of my friends on the site - I am thinking of you.
They went with songs to the battle, they were young.
Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
I will rememeber them

We will remember them and WE always WILL remember them.
We went to the Service in Bridgend yesterday. My daughter has been in the Air Cadets who were on duty yesterday....always a moment of great pride. It was a beautiful day and it was wonderful to see young people taking part. At least some of our next generation will understand why we were there yesterday and why we will continue to be there.

My nephew is currently on his 3rd tour of duty in Afghanistan, based in Kabul this time, Godspeed to him, we want him and all the boys home safely.
My little brother is also training with The Royal Marines, so many brave boys and girls wanting to serve our country.
Dont hold with the political crap around this subject, all i know is they are doing the job they chose and love, i make a point of sitting down with my kids and explaining the whole Remembrance Day subject to them as its personal to us and so many others.
Thanks for the post Lilith kiss
