And they are real pussycats when it comes to dealing with the ref.

No. There's no flying boots, just fake blood capsules. This holier than thou attitude from rugger-buggers does my head in.

That was such a low point in English Rugby and hopefully will ensure that nobody ever tries that shit again but I would be interesting to hear of other evidence of misconduct in Rugby whereas we could all take a couple of minutes to find an example of a footballer taking a dive any day of the week.
Try searching stamping, gouging and punching, not to mention collapsing the scrum, not rolling away etc. To suggest that there is no foul play or cheating in rugby is naive in the extreme.

Of course there is foul play Max.
It's just that in Rugby, it's done in the best possible taste and true gentlemanly fashion
Bit like cricket actually...
Not at all in a 'girly' effeminate snide way as it is in football.
I mean, even the girly football is more manly than the overpaid premodonna tossers we all see on the TV screens rolleyes
Anyone for tennis??
He's a disgrace to sport.
Turns out the talksport parody wasnt a parody after all. Good riddence.
oh...such a ruse.....he says people disrespect him and call him names and the press don't like him and so thinking of leaving.
Result = people call him names and disrespect him..and press gets on his case.
Oh great job done....now I have an excuse to leave...
It amazes me that Liverpool supporters are still supporting him on the football forums. They feel he is a "victim" of press harrassment.....
Oh... The irony
Suarez, great skill, excellent at his chosen profession, but let's face it we all know his elavator doesn't go all the way to the top.
Liverpool fans, embarassing themselves with the support they show him, admit it, the guys a tosser but plays great football, as a United fan I accept wholeheartedly that Cantonna was wrong for kicking a supporter, Rooney is ugly and an idiot, Sir Alex did intimidate Refs and blame others but I accept their good traits to, you have to decide what is wrong and unacceptable and what is wrong and forgiveable, none of us are saints.
Sir Alex Fergusson blaming the ref, the pitch, the ball, the seagull that flew past the trawler putting his star player off .......... Well done Sir Alex and the reason he is the greatest manager the Premier League has ever seen, he did his job so well.
His job was to get the best from his team, tell them when they got it wrong, gee them up when they could get down, wind up the refs to be carefull with their descisions, get the other managers so worked up that they make mistakes when playing his team (yes you Mr Wenger and you Mr Keegan.
And sometimes refs do get it wrong, the pitch does make a ball do odd things, refs did watch the clock more when United played, penalties were more considered at Old Trafford and seagulls did create situations (for those that didn't understand Cantonna talking to the press, it is a well known fact that seagulls follow trawlers to get the scraps of fish thrown overboard .... and the press follow celebrities to get scraps of gossip).
i dont really see a lot difference between saurez and liverpool supporters
than i do the cantona episode with kicking a rival supporter and the machester utd faithfull at the time dunno
Wasn't it said recently that home teams often play the time card to their advantage by dawdling over collection of the ball when it goes out of play? (IIRC, a 'ball boy' got a good kicking off one player of some notoriety).
Now, in rugby, the ball goes out and the Ref stops the clock so much more 'sporting' and in the concluding moments of the game, it ain't over till the ball's out of play giving the team with possession, if losing, a more sporting chance of evening things up.

Alex was a one of the best managers in English football of modern times
but do you know what stopped him from being the greatest mids
his lack of tact and his failure to become an ambassador for the sport at which he was probably the worst in modern football
You may well be right, but that makes me like him more in some ways, becoming an ambassador for sport such as Pele, Charlton, Beckham, Henry Cooper etc is a great personal achievement and I am sure that he could have put himself first over the team and been just that, but he chose to be the "bad guy" and win.

Well first I personally didn't see anyone supporting his attack, many said he was provoked but was wrong to react albeit more likely to happen than an unprovoked biting attack. I certainly thought he was stupid and deserved the long ban he got, he let himself down, his teamates, his club and his Country.
That said I am sure there are thousands of Liverpool fans who agree with the rest of us and do not support the actions of Suarez but the media won't report their comments because there is more mileage in making people look bad.

i think the clue is in the word professional :dunno:
liverpool are looking more than comfortable after today's easy looking win over man utd today without saurez, and the only 100% record left in the prem
one would ask should they let arsenal have him
hat's off to liverpool thou
was suspended when playing for ajax and his behaviour has been no different here.
problem is the max players can be fined is two weeks wages and to these multi millionaire players thats nothing.
previously it was john terry this year its Suarez. and guess what? both racists.
and nil ranger up on a charge of . list is endless of footballer who think they are above the law and its all because they have money on the brain.
and why do people go on about gazza? just a piss head who slapped his wife about, he should be left in the gutter not helped.
