As I posted recently, my netbook died on me, so I took the opportunity to treat myself to a Macbook Pro as they were cheaper where I am at the moment than they are in the UK.
As this uses Apps like my iPhone I'm curious to know what anyone considers to be the best/most useful/ most fun Apps to have on it?
It could be a free app, a games app or something else - what do you consider to be the best?
Thinking about it, what Apps do you have on your iPhone that fall under those categories? I have a sky scanner app which tells me what planes are flying overhead and where they've travelled to/from. Not sure how accurate it is, but it's a bit of fun! I also have some bike related ones showing good biking routes, a Formula One app and other stuff like that. So what have YOU got? lol

a lot of apps ive found have in-app purchases and can be a nightmare for parents as they get you hooked on the game then want money to let you progress.
apps i have on my ipad are mostly timing and set up apps for motorbikes when i do track days.
got ones from ktm and harley davidson which turn the iphone and ipad mini into full dash lap timers and they can be also used on the road.
real racing 3 is my fav car racing app.
WAE wireless speaker control app which i can use to play music in each room of the house.
simpsons tapped out, a bit like the sims.
bbc news, cnn news. bbc i player and radio player. radioline is a good radio app.
living earth app as it tells me about weather, hurricanes etc from all over the world.
Grand theft auto san andreas. i know its violent but its also funny.
ebay app.
edgar allan poe vol 1 and 2. brilliant interactive horror app.
yaniv. a card game i play online.
iassociate 2. a word building game.
photon browser as it uses Flash which safari doesnt.
and i also have a nascar app which lets me watch the races online and in car views as i use to run the fantasy league for a nascar website so i get access for life.
all these i use on the ipad so not sure if they are available for the macbook but hope this helps.
Thanks for the reply, tracer. i've looked at some of those apps, but most work for iPhone and iPad but not the MacBooks! Probably because the MacBooks are classed as PCs and can access webpages easier, therefore don't need a programme for, say, Ebay.
Still, if anyone knows of any good apps for MacBooks, let me know!! lol

As you have a macbook and an iphone, get find iphone/ find my mac which allows you to trace your phone or macbook should it be lost or stolen.
Viber and zello are good too, bit like a cross between and an old style walkie talkie.
navfree is a decent free satnav
gps kit free is useful if you do things like hill walking or mountain biking as it gives your exact position should you get lost, as well as tracking exactly where you've travelled, a local map, pedometer and a few other gadgets.
whatever yo do, don't download a game called Free Flow- you will get addicted and loose touch with everyone you know ;-)
