What is your signature dish?
What do you cook to impress?
Just need some inspiration for cooking, thanks.
I don't know about cooking to impress, but I do a garlic and caper chicken which my kids like. It's pretty simple, mix a couple of cloves of garlic with a tablespoon of capers into a paste, then smoosh it under the skin of the chicken and roast as normal. It's not overly special, but a bit tastier than regular roast chicken.
In some Mexican dishes, they mix 2 parts cinnamon with 1 part cumin and use that as a base for a lot of meals - I have a little jar with that blend and sprinkle it over meat before cooking or add it to sauces. It adds a really nice touch to a ratatouille!
Quote by HothouseSubTry this one, fresh pasta, four minutes. Fine Sliced carrots, bell pepper, red onion and fry in olive oil four minutes. Add lots of green or red pesto, garlic, olives and a small amount of chilli. Drain and toss pasta into sauce. Serve. Itβs fast, filling and tasty....bit like me reallyπThat sounds nice - I can't really be bothered with cooking when it's hot so I usually just end up throwing stuff into a pan and see what comes out!
Quote by MrnMrspiercedYou sparked a memory. Such an easy make, yet I absolutely love it every time - roast baby beetroot, feta and walnuts , drizzled with walnut oil. Fabulous!Today's creations home made garlic and herb potato wedges, roasted beetroot with horseradish and thyme, spiced rhubarb chutney and roasted duck breast.
Also made cottage pie and sausage casserole for freezing.
Quote by HothouseSubIs it just me or does anyone else think the idea of a sausage marathon sounds like a rather. Naughty euphemism π³Nice!
My kids bought me a sausage-making machine for Mother's Day but I haven't had the chance to try it out yet so I'm currently making a shopping list for a sausage marathon this weekend! π

Nope, can't see it.
I don't know what you mean.
My mind is far too innocent for euphemisms! π

My mind is buzzing after an afternoon cooking, it does mean that when Mr P is home I spend more time in the bedroom rather than the kitchen!
Quote by HothouseSubJust light up the Quattro πThat's a great motivation for batch cooking! I have no reason to get myself organised so I just fly by the seat of my pants, usually not starting to cook until I'm already hungry.
I did ponder whether I could make your ladies' lunch club, but it's a bit far for me to walk!
