You've just made my point for me, and you don't even realise it! That's utterly priceless....

You must be the only person on the planet to see it....
Now there is a suprise.................you agreeing with Awayman.
I just read your profile too.
I think having a Master means you actually have to do as you are told I believe?
" a person who has general authority over others ".
Bloody stubbed me toe on me chair when I read that.........ouch.

Oh well....
Even Mr Darling agrees we need cuts.
However, the former Chancellor became exasperated when questioned by trade unionists at the Labour conference over why Britain could not just spend its way out of recession.
"People know there is a deficit, they know it needs to come down - and if you deny that, frankly, people will not listen to you, they will walk away and it will have a disastrous consequence," Mr Darling said. "I'm sorry but you have to be realistic about these things otherwise it simply won't wash.

The last government overspent? Care to back that up with some numbers?

There is an enormous budget defecit.......therefore the last government overspent.
Simple enough ?
The reasons are a completely different subject.
Not sure how they spent it, but they did
’Dear Chief Secretary, I’m afraid to tell you there’s no money left’,
Well, the last Business Secretary was writing cheques for £millions right up to the election. He damn well knew there was no money.
Then they had the gall to say that they were Tory cuts when the plug was pulled on some of his pet projects.
Once a thieving little toe rag, always a thieving little toe rag. Had his grubby little fingers in the "till" for far too long did Mandleson.

So all this money he was spending was going into his back pocket was it?

No, but the money from his tax fiddles were.. you remember surely? The ones which caused him to leave high office more than once?
But once you have that mentality, treating other peoples money with total disregard just comes naturally.

It'd be interesting to see if you could get that statement past a libel lawyer.
Equally angry at Phillip Green and Lord Ashcroft are you?

Forgive me, but when were either of these two required to leave high office, not once but twice because of "indiscretions" such as was the case with Mandleson?
Thieving bastards.

To be honest GNV....is it some sort of condition that to be an MP you have to be a dishonest tosser?
Most of them have never had a " proper " job, as a lot are brought up through the ranks of political thought schools.
Mandy is without one of the most slimy wankers the House has ever seen, and for Brown to bring him back into the fold, shows how desperate the man was. Mandy is also as dishonest as the day is long.....21st of June long!
Bottom line....show me an honest MP and I will show you a dog with two cocks.
As for Red Ed.......the man looks way way way out of his depth, and will prove in the future the guy neither has the charisma or the balls to take Labour to victory....maybe he will appoint that slim ball Mandelson as his new deputy.
Nothing would suprise me with Labour.
Though do not worry David old chum, I am sure Mrs Clinton will make you feel better....wink wink. Well he is much better looking than old fatty Prezzie, Lord now I hear.

An odd choice for me you might think, but I have huge respect for Tony Benn.
At the current moment in time I think you could have a dog as the new opposition leader and they would still have a 50-50 chance in an election. Can anyone ever recall a time when such a new government fell behind in the polls this early? especially after how unpopular labs were at the end?
Guess though from my memory the Torys will try the old method I remember well. Ass fuck everyone really hard for two years then lay off a bit and hope no one remembers after 5 years that they were better off 5 years before. Oddly enough always seems to work.
Ive a backup plan anyway :smug: I am going to start backing Scottish independence then maybe one day I can move up by the in laws and never suffer a Tory government again lol

A fine choice,a man who the word integrity might have been coined for.
fine choice, great speaker, communicator and honest
And so it begins, David Miliband rebukes Harman over Iraq applause
Brotherly love, reminds me of Gorden and Tony :giggle:
So shallow.
What more can one say?

You think that'll help you avoid the problem that you've alleged he was forced him to leave high office more than once because of tax fiddles?

Ok so one MP has been named out of over 600 as being honest.
Ok as rare as a dog with two dicks.
