I wish them well too, however when I applied to be a mod I was told I couldn't because of our couple's profile. As a couple it was felt that it wouldn't be clear which one of us was actually the mod.
So has this situation changed?

Never even heard of Theia - is it someone hiding behind a new username? And if so, why?
Sorry, but once upon a time, mods were people who were familiar to users of SH. We should be able to trust that the mods work in the best interest of the users. Using a new name is not the way to develop trust, as we don't know who is behind the name.

There's nothing nefarious behind it. The person is an established SH member, but is using a new profile whilst she undergoes a settling in/training period - much the same as new Ops do. If she decides to stay I'm sure she'll out herself eventually. ;)
