I just found out about this new series 5 weeks in. A kinda cynical look at the media reaction to world events-right up my boulevard.
I found it rather entertaining.
Anybody else seen it hate it love it.
Check it out let me know what you think.

Sorry Ben, but straight away I thought 'Newswipe - he must be talking about the Sun' :giggle:
I'll look out for it.
somehow my first thought was that the title referred to that situation when you're reading a newspaper on the crapper and suddenly find you've run out of toilet roll :giggle:
LOL melting an unfortunate name i agree.
Its on BBC iplayer if that helps. Last episode tomorrow on bbc3 i think.
I think the "newswipe", and thought of the sheets nailed to the toilet wall are quite deliberate.
Ive seen some of this, and caught last night's repeat...
I think the show is fantastic...

starting now on BBC4

Yep... caught up with this on iPlayer.
Tuning in now x
Bugger- missed it-off to the i player I go.
I loved Screenwipe, and this looks pretty good. Just when you think his caustic and cynical observations are going to turn the programme into a sort of explicit Grumpy Old Men, he comes up with something genuinely insightful and educative. In the last series of screenwipe, there was an episode where he talked at length with TV drama and sitcom writers about their creations - one of the best hours of TV I've ever seen.
You can find some episodes of NEWSWIPE on youtube too. I like Charlie Brooker when he's hosting these media review shows, although his column in the Guardian is a bit more childish and cynical at the same time!
Enjoy! cool
I saw the writers episode of Screenwipe; superb TV. A real insight into what it takes to be a writer and the sort of people who do it.
Loving Newswipe, genuinely smart, stimulating tele.
