Manthang bought us a pair of Nike Fuelbands for crimble
At first I was sceptical, a glorified pedometer is what I thought, but now having used it for the last few weeks I am an convert, it's surprisingly motivating, set your targets of how many steps a day etc. and go from there, the more steps you take the more calories you burn the more fuel you earn, it goes by weight/gender/height and then the same is for everyone. It syncs to my iPhone each day and needs charging once every 6 or 7 days.
The motivation part is this, my man, not very well of late, set it at 2000 steps a day, me being me, I set it at 2000 steps also, the first few days I was in to 10,000 plus steps a day and that was from just picking up after my children/ sorting the man out, generally keeping house, now cos it's new year and losing the weight as you do (keep fit DVDs) I'm into the 17,000 plus steps a day, I find myself setting targets some of which I don't meet, others I do.
My man, used to tell me I was a lightweight doing chores, he sees differently now, his steps are less than 500 a day right now (not his fault right now) and he's setting targets now and its giving him some amount of motivation
So anyway, if you're thinking about getting fit, losing weight post crimble 2012 then take a look at the Fuel band, it's been excellent for me with the result being that in two weeks of using it I've lost 12lbs in weight and motoring.
