so ive just come off my biker forum and they are all "israel is a bully" "israel should face embargos" "america should stop all the aid to israel" etc etc
what a bunch of idiots.
do they really believe there wont be any rockets on those ships?
why did the people on the ship attack armed commandos if they have nothing to hide?
would the US or Britain allow "aid" ships in to iraq without checking their cargo?
do you really buy all teh "poor gazans" crap? do you not remember what hamas and other radical muslims would do to your way of life given half the chance?
sheesh, how stupid and naive can people be???????

Completely agree with you Bruce. There is a procedure to follow and the aid ship did not follow it. Second many people in this country forget that the Balfour Declaration, proposed by this country, existed prior to WWII and if the Arab states, surround what is now Israel, accepted it then there would not be the issue in the Middle East today. Another point people in this country forget that what is now Israel was prior to passing of the UN Declaration in 1948 was a territory of this country. Third point, Gaza and West Bank was created after the Six Day War in which Egypt, Jordan, and Syria tried to destroy Israel. The two territories resulted from those battles and I believe are analogous to America taking territory from the Native Americans. This essentially means Israel has a right to the territory and that if the Arab countries stopped trying to destroy Israel then maybe peace would exist there today. It also means through their attempt to destroy Israel their citizens have needlessly suffered. A new country State does not need to be created and instead they should be incorporated back into their home countries of Jordan, Egypt, and Syria.

Please enlighten me as to what procedure the aid ship did not follow, as from memory it was attacked in international waters.
I would also like you to enlighten me as to why the Arab states surrounding what is now Israel should have accepted the Balfour Declaration then, now or indeed at anytime?

Max, their intentions were clear, where teh interception took place is a trite point.
As for the Balfour declaration, hindsight teaches us that it would have been the better choice.
Brucie, were their intentions clear? Apologies if I'm wrong on this point but were any weapons found on that ship? I ceratinly don't recall hearing so. I wonder what the Israeli response would be to one of its ships being forcibly boarded in international waters? Would they have dismissed it as being trite?
Hindsight teaches us many things but please elaborate upon your statement reagrding the Balfour Declaration and explain why it would have been a better choice.
