They would have sacked him some time ago but they simply have not got the money.
They reckon it will cost them 20 million quid to sack him.
So we have a guy who is paid a lot of money, who it seems has destroyed the great Liverpool FC, yet to sack him will cost them that ammount...seems madness.
Maybe it is time that contracts were drawn up paying people on performance?
More importantly who can they get to replace him? Will they be any better?
I still think he is a good manager but the players have not performed either...time for a serious re-think at that club and quick, before they start slipping even further down the table.

I think the Scousers have been very patient with him, but surely that patience will run out. I was busy last night but had the football on while I worked. Liverpool deserved to lose and now have nothing to aim for this season other than instant qualification for next years Champions Cup, which they might also fail to do.
Had he been at Chelsea Benitez would have been long gone by now, and yes that is wrong. But he has been given a fair crack of the whip by Liverpool, I'm sure his head is ready to roll.

It's not only the Manager but the entire setup at Liverpool! One could say they're doing a 'Tottenham' (many years of living on past memories and employing crap managers lead by incompeteant owners).
But at the end of the day - It's the Manager's call who he puts on the field and his call on substitutions to put it right during the game.
So, to sum up:-
Liverpool supporters want him out along with Gillet & Hicks. Everyone else wants him to stay as it's like having 3 extra points!

The situation at Anfailed is unbelievable. Even if Hicks and Gilet could agree on a plan of action, they would have to clear the waiter out AND all his back room staff. The cost would be enormous. Would prob have to charter a plane to take them all back to Spain as well!
Apart from all this what about Torres to City and Gerrard to Milan next season?
