hmmmm rod ,jane and freddie now there`s a party
From where I stand looking in, it appears to be a complete and utter shambles. Clegg is now playing one party off against the other party, in my eyes that is very poor form. A Lib/Lab Government is still not a Marjory so on policy's they will need to beg and make deals for the extra votes, the looser being the country.
Lib Dem is like the ugly woman who all over sudden everyone wants to bed...this country is up for aution, really shameful on a democratic society for politicians to be so % didnt vote for the colour blue
I'm hoping for a Progressive Alliance.
Everything will be done in 11/8 time and feature a lot of solo work.
At the end of the day, this just proves a number of points to me:
You can never trust a Liberal
Never trust a Liberal
Liberals can't be trusted
I'm sure that Clegg was being as genuine as he could be when he opened the opportunity to discuss arrangements with Cameron. However, his "triple lock" party decision making process shows just how impossible any working arrangement with the LibDems will be.
If they honestly believe that they can cut a better deal with Labour... well, they are more immature than I originally gave them credit for.
well...always felt a tory/liberal pact was going to be uncomfortable. I think over the years the labour party has moved very much towards the centre ground. I do think the liberals in some policies have stayed further to the left.
However lets be fair and say....that more people voted for the Tory party than any other. I think David Cameroon should now form a minority government. This will not allow him to push through to many radical proposals, as he would know they would be defeated. It would mean another election with-in a year. But at least give us a glimse at how bad/good the tories are at governing the country.
The other option, though it will never happen, is a goverment for the national interest. Where all the three parties formed a coalition. The amount of people in the cabinet would depend on their share of the vote etc. Nice idea....but never gona happen.
One way or another...something needs to happen soon, the instability at the moment is not good for the country.
What instability ?
So the "captain and senior seamen" are "not at the helm".
The SAME people are running the country as have been running it for DECADES.
Decisions will still be made, although policy will have to wait.
Who cares ?
Not me.
Watching the b'stards running around trying to stab each other in the back is good fun...and not hurting the country: One. Little. Bit.
The Conservatives cannot form a lasting government on their own.
Neither can Labour.
A Lab/Lib pact would represent more of the "electorate" (expectorate) than the Conservatives on their own....democracy in action !
Either way....the conservatives cannot hold power for long, if ever.
Another election before October.
One every 6 months would suit me fine...and the country....it tells the shites in West-titster that that's what they are.......................SHITES.
All this Shows is the chaos that would ensue with PR.
Libs were just doing what their membership would want them to do,in exploring all the possibilities.
But they still would not have had a majority and would have to go cap in hand to the small minority parties.
By 8 tonite they will have a Con/Lib pact in place.
