What a start to the six nations, although I am not sure the Welsh will see it quite the same way.
Didn't think it was going to go that way after the first half, suspect the England team must have been given one hell of a pep talk at half time.

Yes, I think England must have got a rocket at half time and the Welsh at full time.
should have had more confidence ! always knew we'd win down there (not) !! Having the roof off obviously made a big difference - the Welsh boys were too busy looking for the stars !!!

Well there were 15 stars stood in front of them lol
Too many leeks in the welsh defense wink
Fabulous job by England, well done the underdogs and now the same with the champs trouncing the Italians! Great two matches so far!
England / Wales, Wales 1st half good, England 2nd half good, could have gone either way
Italy / Ireland: messy first half, missed the 2nd half but from the score line Ireland took over
France / Scotland: messy game, could have gone either way although the frogs took it in the end.
So they have got the first game jitters out of the way, not sure if anyone came out glowing so all to play for.

ermm Yep, I thought the same G. Not a very nice term to use Gerty.
3 interesting games as usual
However spotted a comment on 'social media' on Friday night along the lines of "If Bernie organised the sport things would of started on time rather than showing examples of electricity, lights, fire and fireworks to their population", so as it was things started later than planned.
Like the result though, just proves 'gamesmanship' doesn't always work over 80 minutes
@HnS
If it hadn't been for the light show, I would have missed the start as I misunderstood the start time shown on the good old BBC (may be age related, of course lol).
However, what I failed to grasp was the significance of the 'stand-off' in the tunnel where neither team seemed prepared to be the first out on the ground dunno
Anyone care to enlighten me?
Like two boxers G, who ever blinks first...
Its for tension-making, nothing more. I dont think it detracts fromthe game and helped me get another cup of tea ready and open a packet of bicuits!

I think that England were due to go out on the pitch first (they don't both go out together - not sure why) but everyone knew that once England were out then Wales would then leave them out there for several minutes to get cold/frustrated, so Robshaw wasn't going to play their silly games. England went out when the ref said that he would only give Wales a maximum on one minute to wait. It's all a bit pathetic really.
Anyway, bragging rights definitely go to England - they never gave Wales a look-in during the second half and controlled the game very well. Stuart Lancaster now has options in all positions and Wales are right back to the drawing board.

Well, better than there rugby at least lol
This weekend I think will define who finishes where in the six nations! So looking forward to this round of matches.
Massive game on Sunday - 'Swing Low' !!
Scotland v Italy
. . . Scotland to win
France v Wales
. . . will be close one but France to win
Ireland v England
. . . as much as I would like to see England win they will have to really step up their game, personally I don't think they have played well so far, I fear Ireland will take this one.
well deserved win by Italy!
I see that they've put Morgan Parra in from the start but wtf are they doing keeping dozintwat in the line-up as captain? The French team lacks direction; IMHO they play better when dozintwat is off the field.
So far a 100% prediction failure confused:banghead, think I'll pick another sport !
Gerty - how about 'count the beads on a necklace while ogling a beautiful cleavage' !! Nothing personal but hope your prediction for tomorrow goes wrong too !! C'mon England !!
Thing is with this weekends games, the teams best matched to each other are playing each other! Think England need to put a lot of pressure on Sexton if they are going to win this one. Ireland will have the edge in the pack and England need to spoil the feed to the backs without giving away penalty's.
Good win for Ireland. Team well co-ordinated, disciplined and a well deserved victory.

I agree, they were a better team. Think Ireland may go on and do the Grand Slam but don't write of Wales as champions yet. Really enjoying this six nations, can't wait for the next round of matches.
