Mind you it has to be said that the Brits French and Germans have managed not to kill each other quite as much since the EU was established but then that could be down to the Eurovision Song contest I spose. Human beings managed to kill over 100 million of each other deliberately during the 20th century, Im hoping things like the EU and song contests might keep the numbers down in the 21st.
Im off to pitch a Euro Middle East ballroom dancing competition to a TV production company. Once Im the Simon Cowell of ballroom, establishing the Euro Middle East Union and ensuring world peace should be a doddle. The EU has created a lot of jobs OK, and now we have so many useless pencil pushers in pointless positions. As for the minimum wage and other enforce "workers rights", they have been partly to blame for the high unemployment. I have seen so many companies closed for business in the UK, only to reopen abroad. The EU has also crucified our fishing industry by allowing Spanish fleets among others to fish our waters, that while enforcing a quota.
We need to get ourselves out of the Soviet Socialist Republic of Europe, the sooner the better. However Gordon Brown has made such a mess of our economy that I can see us being forced to sign the Lisbon Treaty, the scenario was deliberate engineered to leave us with no choice.
