Split the "fancy a chat" section

Now that the Site appears to have been buoyed up by a recent influx (return?) of people can we maybe split the Fancy a chat section into a "Funny stuff" and a "non swinging affairs"
This way we can separate light hearted fun stuff from more serious stuff?

Now there's an idea. A separate section like 'Current Affairs' was? Cos, it's hard work trawling through one section innit?
They could be named 'Has beens drivel' and 'Wannabees smart stuff' maybe. Wonder which would get the most traffic ....

I like the variety and as a swinger it does not mean I'm not interested in currant affairs I do also have somewhere, if I find it i'll get it out, a sense of humour so like the nonsense light hearted stuff as well.
My view is lump it all together and then most of us being of sound mind can quickly distinguish between what we do want or don't want to read or take part in. Another benefit would be that it could possibly give the moderators a little work to do rather than them sitting there rifling through the galleries wink

Funny stuff and non swinging stuff all comes under the "fancy a chat" header anyway doesn't it? dunno

I remember a time when there were 3 forums and it all worked perfectly well then. Having 6(?) seems a bit of a waste to me anyway, but what do I know ;)

It's like taking a big trip down memory lane but the problem is that there are bunfights and squabbles. We all find places like this for a bit of an escape. We all like different things and we all have differing opinions. It's okay to disagree... it's when it gets personal that it turns sour. Most of us co-exist without a problem... it's when the problems arise that things go tits up and I'm really not interested in squabbling with fuckwits on a forum you know? That's when I know it's time to sod off again.
It's meant to be fun. :bounce:

I can see the draw in splitting out the fun and serious, but as has been said - aren't there enough already? Maybe it's time to a rejig of the whole forum categories?

I've found funny stuff often leads to naughty stuff :twisted:
I'm more likely to laugh and joke when swinging, than talk about the state of the economy, or what my position is on the church and banking.

Why though? What difference does it make if it's in a different forum? Surely there's room for a little bit of everything? If I could choose, I'd merge the 'lets talk about sex' forum with this one and have all the chat in one place. You can choose what you want to read, normally just by reading the title or the first post. When I first joined the swinging sites, everything was in one place and it worked perfectly well and allows for way more banter when more people are interacting. There could be a separate forum for meets and one for site problems and perhaps a chatroom forum but the main forum should be as one and people should learn to hang out together.
The bottom line is that this is a sex site. It's for swingers who, whilst they may be likeminded about sex, they are all different. It's just like the real world and sometimes the way people treat others on a forum still shocks me. If you were in the boozer having a debate with someone about current affairs, you would surely do it in a civil manner. I would and I guess I always hope that people would treat me the way they expect to be treated. Here should be no different.

In the old days, when us has beens were all here the first time round, we had the brains to decide which threads interested us and which didn't, and responded accordingly. We didn't need separate forums to help us decide what to read.

just a thought .............maybe us old farts are going too quick for the newbies , it seems they are getting upset cos they can't keep up with the faster forum ! seems they can't think of funny banter as quick as we did way back then .
