Thought I would post this here rather than high-jack the Teacher Harvey thread

Jermaine Bullen accused his victim of beating him up when he was six. This is really the other side of the coin to the Teacher Harvey story. Your thoughts please

that really is a grudge dunno

Funny you should say that, that is exactly what struck me mostly. How does one carry some thing for so long?..... A young impressionable mind scared by what allegedly happened to him, or an unbalanced mind? :dunno:

If something very wicked was done to you, especially as a child, you carry the effects of it and the memory for life.
Plim

Thanks Plimboy, you sound almost as if you speak from expeariance. Does every one carry that for life or just some people? And then, how many would carry the grudge far enough to act upon it?
Ten years in nick should sort this thug out!!
Oh sorry forgot.....cannot give him that long as have no room in our jails......I wonder why?
Is there to be a witch hunt for every teacher who gave a lad '6 of the best' with the Cane causeing welts,in front of a whole class of witnesses?
Are they not accountable for physical abuse of their charges in the past?
I'm surprised that a PC inspired Retro Inquisition was not mounted or was there an unofficial Amnesty, back in the day, for teachers who had dispensed practical discipline before the Cane,Strap, etc were bannished or should i have said 'excluded'?
At my school the head master or deputy headmaster could administer the cane, witnessed by a member of staff not involved in the incident, after an immediate inquiry.
Or at least that was the official policy.
In reality, many teachers meted out their own forms of corporal punishment.
The most vicious was a physics teacher. For a minor infraction, such as talking after he'd called for silence, he would snake his way from front to back of the lab (a deathly hush would descend when he started his walk), passing behind each pupil, and forcefully punch each of his victims in turn, in the kidney area.
We were sat on lab stools, and the force of his blows would knock us off the stools on to the hard floor, often producing further injuries.
He only did it to me once - I was about 12. I would not be so stupid as to go into a restaurant and beat him up, but if I met him walking down a dim alley with no CCTV.....
