Why dont they sack the rich bastards that caused this mess, make them pick fruit to pay off the dept they have given the rest of us.
Sorry forgot that they all vote TORY so they cant be expected to do honest work.

I think you will find a lot of this mess was caused by Brown and Darling.
Nothing to do with the filthy rich bankers buy toxic dept then.
Then paying themselves a huge bonus, for taking the company that employes them into bankrupcy.
Any other industry would have seen them sacked for incompetence.
I am no expert on this, but I am lead to believe the bank debt was only a very small amount of our total debt
Dont you just people that think £500 billion is a small amount of money.
I don't think its a small amount, in fact I never said that, what I said was it is a small amount of our total debt
UK total dept is around £900 billion, over 50% of which is that used to buy the banks.

Correct me if I am wrong, as I am no expert in this field, but I was of the impression it was more along the lines of, £4 -- a hefty £65,000 per person

I dont blame the Tories for the mess, only the lack of balls to make those responsible sort it out.(they wont punish those that fund them)
The money came from us the tax payers, and the filthy rich bankers wont suffer because they dont pay tax as normal people do. They use accountants to ensure its all kept in their own grubby paws.

This Balls?

He's Labour I thought, not a Tory... but he is a bit of a bruiser by all accounts :giggle:
The £4.8 figure is the alleged national debt when state and public sector pension liabilities are included. These figures are included in a report from the Institute of Economic Affairs

According to the Office for National Statistics, the public sector net debt at the end of October 2010 was £955 billion, which included £110 billion of "interventions", ie bank bailouts.

Tax avoidance is not illegal.
The only reason for that is, they cant find anyone in the commons that would be innocent of the offence.
So they would have to resign from the job.
Not really rocket science is it. wink

Just as well really, seeing as I take advantage of it.
This message was typed with my grubby paws....
