Where has all this lunacy with fuel prices come from
There has to be a lot of companys making mega bucks somewhere
Diesel was allways the poor relation to petrol and allways cheaper but now mad :x :x :x :x
per gallon is tax that makes a gallon of fuel exactly .....and the company who refines the fuel is still making a profit ???
somewhere we are being hood winked ...as for gas and electricty words fail :x :x :x :x :x
steve(applying to be a lighthouse keeper)
And yet the price of crude oil has dropped in the last few days to below $50 a barrel.
Unfortunately we are all over a barrel at the pumps!
mad
The Government originally had fuel duty for diesel set lower than petrol, in an effort to have more motorists run diesel vehicles, with the promise of better economy and longer range.
Now that diesel is a common type of fuel used in vehicles, they have slowly been increasing the duty on diesel, knowing that they have a 'captive' user.
Thats my theory anyway.
Just a thought biggrin :D
Why is it that in the usa a gallon of petrol or diesel is a gallon rolleyes
And yes they are supposed to be self sufficient ??
And we were told so would we be  what with north sea oil
lots of questions ???????????
Swiftly runs round the local chippy to but used cooking oil

Imagine you had a car that ran put of petrol 30 miles from home and you had no alternative but to push it home on your own.
It would take you three months to do that.
A gallon of petrol for a fiver would do the same job in an hour.
Fossil fuels are ridiculously cheap and it will be an awful shame when it all runs out.
