Yes, sorry sir.
Although what you could say consructively about this I can't think. What is it percentages of? It seems a typical piece of non-news for which that paper is justifiably famous. Help me out here if you know different. :dunno:

I could not speak for Freckledbird, but many of the teachers in the school I went to, were very unsympathetic.

I don't think sympathy is required, actually. For diagnosed dyslexics, support is given. Years ago, dyslexia was not always diagnosed. And then there is the issue of people who just label themselves dyslexic, without proper diagnosis.
I'll bugger off now and leave you to your Mail mathematics.

Perhaps not, but then is rudeness about ones short comings required either?

i think you should be ordered to do 1000 lines.
I SHALL TRY AND NOT BE SO BLOODY RUDE IN THE FUTURE.
funny as i think 1000 lines is somehow just not enough. sympathy not part of your degree obviously. flipa
It's a shame the musical legacy was limited by the reference to the Beatles - a modern band. What about Elgar, Vaughan Williams, Britten, Talis, JC Bach (the 'English' Bach) and so man others. I suppose these geniuses were lumped in with 'art & culture' for some reason.

A travesty no less, I cant stand the Beatles personally
Why dont they add up to 100?

Why dont they add up to 100?

Perhaps they used the incorrect terminology and printed 'percent' (per 100) when they actually meant 'percentile' (a percentage of a percentage or ranking) dunno
See link.

Why dont the percentages add up to 100?

Depends upon the question(s) asked in the poll. If they were just asked to name one thing then the figures should add up to 100 but if they were given a list of things and asked which of those made them proud to be British, the results could be as per Blue's post.
I guessing it means only 336 people bothered to reply !!! and resilts are as shown. Problem with most of these things is limited answers to choose from. I would go for the British manners and politeness, myself. Its just a slow news day, and so they dig up tosh like this to fill a few lines with.

its such a shame that even though the original comment was understood a comment was made by someone who is paid to help people with their spelling and grammar
its even more sad that someone who is so well educated in grammar and spelling resorts to such a poor methods of communicating with others by means of a snipe
maybe they should drop English in favour of communication skills as English and grammar seems to mean nothing when used in conjunction with poor manners
One of the oldest forms of communication in recorded history.

No mistaking their intent. If you white man, you gonna die.

I haven't suggested that anyone change or hide anything Rob,I have in the past defended those of us who are less capable with their spelling and/or grammar .... I would suggest however that,to play the wounded soldier when a simple solution is at your fingertips is tiresome to say the 's a thought .... get over it and get on with it.

its something i have got over staggs but it seems unacceptable by the same people (not you)
over and over in fact, it's about all some post! to the point that i think they should now learn not open that second bottle of wine or stay way from the computer when they do open the second one
whilst some should try a little harder agreed I'm sure it would pass onto punctuation or use of verbs and nouns ect
I fully agree with our need to be rescued from the modern trend of grammar fascism .... however the constant repeated misspelling of certain certain words does sometimes begin to grate .... I give you our Ken and 'ammount' as the exemplar,it begins to look like stubborn bloody mindedness rather than a genuine mistake after a while
