Here:
Max has already pointed it out to you but you seemingly need to be told not only once but twice.

Show me where I have stated I drive close to a car when I want them to move out of the middle lane and into the empty nearside lane, I prefer to do this from a distance so that they make the manouver before I get close enough to have to reduce my speed, I really don't want to drop from 70 to 50 driving behind them someone else who decides the scenario for themselves, I am quite capable of sitting a safe distance behind the vehicle in front of me, as I have said in here I do not tailgate, I assume that is done because it is what you do and you think everyone else does the same.

There:
"I am a patient driver, unless on the motorway behind a middle lane hogger then I just sit behind them flashing my lights and sounding my horn until they move over" a patient driver does not do this in an aggressive manner that bit is obvious to those who choose to listen.
Quite obvious as to what you meant. is it, even after it has been explained numerous times ? You're now trying to backtrack. No now I am trying to clarify what I said to people who refuse to listen to anyone but themselves Now you show me where that driving is deemed acceptable in the Highway Code. I've now asked that question three times without receiving a response. No you havent you keep asking where it says you can sound your horn or flash your lights in the highway code and I have done, it does not say drive aggressively or sit behind a vehicle flashing your lights incessantly or sounding your horn with malice, not being the best at English what I wrote could have been wrote better but I have said till I am blue in the face that I do not do this in an aggressive manner. you have chosen to ignore that and imply that I drive aggressively at all times and defending the idiots who hog lanes, and support overtaking a vehicle in the 2nd lane on a two lane motorway (the mind boggles) double standards with no solution.
For the last time
You can sit behind a car and flash your lights, you can sit behind a car and sound your horn, all in a manner that is not aggressive,. jesus all this for a bad choice of wording and some people jumping on anything said and refusing to accept explanations, pathetic
In accordance with the Highway code I use my lights or my horn to let people know I am there, obviously if they don't move over they are still unaware of my presence so the process needs to be repeated, normally one quick flash is enough sometime it take a quick bip on the horn sometimes more, I make no appologies for following the highway code in the same way you make no appologies for breaking the law by hogging middle lanes.
Also, Star never claimed to be driving at 50 mph in the middle lane.
I never said she did, in fact I asked her what she did when she, doing her 70mph came accross a middle lane hogger doing 50mph.
So now we are answering questions, how do you overtake a lane hogger on a two lane motorway or if you are in a vehicle that is not permitted into the 3rd lane ?

that would be highway codes number one rule .......be considerate and courteous to other road users at all times wink

I am not asking for anyone to be banned for anything said in this thread or in fact any other thread, but what I am asking for is a bit of fecking consistency from the site.

Hell must be freezing over !
I can only agree with Star blink

Well you will be waiting for hell to freeze over, if you or me are expecting any kind of reply on this subject. Quick enough to ban but not as quick to respond to a members question in the open forum.
Say the word anyone if you think I should be banned from the forums for anything I have written in this thread I will ban myself.

Mids stop being a drama queen. Nobody has said they wanted that, or has asked for it. Read what people have written properly before you answer.
It has nothing to do with what has been written before, except perhaps on my part, I happen to agree with you that punishment should be equal for everyone and I did make some abusive comments in this thread, not my normal modus operendi and therefore am happy to take the consequences that anyone else would recieve.

There are only two people it seems that would have got a ban for that, and one of them ain't you Mids.
which is why I offered a self imposed exile in support of what you said not as a prima donna, who would care ? it would affect me and nobody else some might even welcome it lol
Fuckitty fuck fuck fuck for what its worth smile

This is what people are talking about Mids ... you contradict yourself even in the same post this time!
Reading this thread it comes across as when you are on the motorway you drive in an aggressive manner ie flashing your lights, sounding your horn ... you even admit yourself here you are only a patient driver "unless on the motorway"
Back to the original question, I often sit in the middle lane ... like Star does and read the road ahead of me. If I can see a lorry in the distance then I will remain in the middle lane to avoid the driver behind me boxing me in as they too do not follow the Highway Code and allow sufficient space for me to pull in and out before catching up with the slower vehicle
This usually results in light flashing, horn beeping .... and me slowing to 69 MPH !
Yea suede head call me whatever you like whislt sdvocating breaking the law and driving in a insecure and self righteous manner, you are right and everyone else and the law is wrong.

I think it is obvious to most people that Mids seems to be having a bit of trouble separating his bad driving and what the law describes as aggressive driving. Max has pointed out his comments more than once, in words typed by Mids himself as to his behavior to other road users which is completely unacceptable, but as it is only on " occasion " that somehow makes it alright in Mids driving world.
Still Mids does not seem to think there is anything wrong with doing that on a fast moving motorway, behind another driver using the " letting another driver know you are there " as a justifiable excuse. I would say that if an accident was caused by a driver doing exactly what Mids has describes he has done, then I am sure the Police would prosecute under the dangerous driving laws that would apply.
oh sorry was someone expecting a reation, I had drifted off to sleep whilst reading :thrilled:
