Tom Cruise is Jack Reacher

I LOVE Jack Reacher, i only started reading the books a month ago but im already on book 10 smile

i am obsessed :)
When i first found out the Tom Cruise was gonn be JR i was horrified because although i love the Mission Impossible films i didn't think that TC was right for the JR role, he is sto small for a start and not "hard" looking, can't explain that very well but anyone who has read the JR books will know what i mean .... however i hve now seen a triler for the film and Tom looked good, he was bulked out a bit and his hair was shorter and less floppy lol .... im not sure who i would have chosen for the role should i have had a say in it (i wish lol) ... who would you have ?

Watched the trailer for the film and am still in shock that Cruise is playing him. Read all the books now and loved them all.
Next best thing to them is Matt Hilton books where Joe Hunter is like a British Jack Reacher, 2 books into the set at the moment.

Yes Roger Moore was a bit of a wussy James Bond but thats now made me think that Daniel Craig would be good as Jack Reacher, just have to sort out his accent smile

I am looking forward to the JR film i have to admit, i love going to the cinema :)

Shit choice, but I have yet to see any film that is half as good as an excellent book.

I preferred The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo film more than the book, i have now watched the film several times but only read the book once .... however they are different to each other, the book was very slow going at the begining but the film was far more exciting. Often if i have read the book first im not as keen on the flim usually because of changes but if i watch a good film then i usually go in search of the book (if there is one) for my Kindle smile

This guy is 6'4" and has that gnarly look and the right age for someone that was in the forces for that long. He was in the Expendables 2.

It's excellent and although TC don't look like i would expect Reacher to look, he is actually very good :)

I think I would've chosen Russell Crowe.
I can't yet bring myself to go watch the film. Whatever it is like, it will not be like the Jack Reacher in my head :rascal:

Nola, Russell Crowe would have been great. Watched the film last night, wasn't his best book IMHO and could have though of better books to base the 1st film on.
Jack Reacher - Drifter he was cleanly shaven, hair imaculate, chest waxed WTF all wrong. On the plus side Robert Duvall was in it and that bloke is great.

In the books Jack frequently takes showers, at least one a day and although he doesn't have spare clothes it does often say that he washes them at night and drys them, it never says he in unclean or smelly or looks like a tramp, it does sometimes say hes not the best dressed but nothing about him looking crap and dirty smile

(except after fighting etc) TC hair was cut short rather than that awful floppy hair style he usually has so that was more suited to playing JR too.
TC wasn't the actor i would chose to play JR but i thought he was very good and i really enjoyed the film and so did the many other people in the cinema (judging by their comments at the end of the film) so i am pleased i went to see it :. I love the Mission Impossible films with TC in especially the last one :)
I would have chosen Daniel Craig, but he would have to work on his accent :)
I supose i am fairly easy to please regarding films though and i love going to the cinema, only ever go to watch thrillers, police films or some sci fi, men films rather than chick flicks which i hate lol
