A year ago I took a selfie. Today I took another. They're in my public album.

Amazing what statins and a bicycle will do.

But I would appreciate some advice from others who have lost a lot of weight: How do I get rid of the big bloke's skin that I'm still wearing?

tuck it into your pockets? dunno seriously though, having yo-yoed with weight loss for over 30 years (damn im old) I have learnt to tolerate my wobbly bits now, i have embraced my mummy apron , I use Bio-Oil on the stretch marks and even though it doesnt disappear them it makes me feel better about myself ;) If its a massiv weight loss the NHS can sometimes be persuaded to chop it away if its causing mental distress. In the last 30 years i have gone from 15 stone down to 8 then up to 10 then down to 6 and a half then up again, now at the age of 46 im stuck around the 10.5 stone mark and a size 12 with a tummy to be proud of coz it doubles as a pillow for minidave to rest his weary head after a days work. Swimming helps and Pilates is reported to yield good results for tightening up the excess skin - Good luck with it all, love yourself first and foremost kiss

Interesting. I doubt I could convince the NHS it's a clinical need as I'm not depressed about it, just a bit miffed because although I've dropped nearly 6st I'm not being rewarded with the Adonis physique I so very richly deserve. Yeah, vanity, mid-life crisis and all that - the main thing is I did it for my health and I've got to be happy with that, but I can't help being greedy.
