Berlin has much to offer in numerous ways quite apart from the infinite variety of clubs. I have been going there for years, can recommend it and can advise on a whole range of things. It is much more reasonably priced than Amsterdam. And generally I find hotels and accommodation are of a higher standard (as much as I like Amsterdam). If you would like to be part of an informal group please let me know and I will endeavour to co-ordinate it (assuming there are enough interested to make it worthwhile).
