Hi friends. Camping near Cap D again this year after a break since 2019. Interesting to see the changes around the area, new roads, new parking restrictions, nicer amenities in some places.
I’m sure some of you have used the Marseillan Plage parking to then wander along to the naturist (and naughty) beach in the naturist village. It’s really hard to do now unless you turn up really early or don’t mind carrying your beach stuff from way back beyond the roundabout by the restaurants and bars. The road, from where side roads provided parking, are all sanitised and bollarded off, and the far half of the road has been given to some hideous private development and campsites. Given that parking in the village itself was a nightmare in August, it’s going to be really squeezy come the summer.
Serignan Plage has had parking improved and the car park neatened up and the deep ruts sorted. The paths through the dunes have been sorted but surreptitious playing in the dunes isn’t permitted. The beach is still lovely and the lifeguard hut and the annoying tannoy have disappeared.
The beach at Cabans de Fleury has gained a huge number of logs over the last couple of winters and lots of little shelters have been made to protect from the wind and provide a little privacy for naughty play.
Almost as hot here as Britain is hehe enjoy! ☀️
