Havent ever stayed actually in Playa itself, can be a bit iffy!! But stayed at Taiba Princess in Masapalomas, about 20 mins walk to kiosk 4 and nudey beach... and about 10 mins in cab to Playa and swininging venues for the evening!!
We are actually switching hotels for visit in Oct, going to Rui Palace on edge of Playa, fancied a change!! Wonder what walk across dunes will be like to get to sea??

It's quite a long way! And easy to get disorientated, so you end up walking in a bit of a wobbly line (actually, I do that a lot of the time on hols!)

Ok we better to remember to go easy at the Comeback Back bar then if we want go in a straightish line then... but I recall (having once gone back to the Rui from nudey beach
) you sre best leaving the hotel and turning RIGHT before going in direction of beach (via palm oasis, to avoid mega dunes!!)??

Difficult choice of walking further or taking a direct route but then having to trudge up & down the bigger dunes.

Why dont you jump in a taxi down to the lighthouse and walk down on to the beach all the way along the sea edge right to playa de ingles....Gorgeous walk especially about as the sun is going down
You never know who you will meet along the way and you can always nip into the dunes if you want some fun...We have been going there for years and just love the place

We are at the la mirage as always but then in the comeback i the evenings for starters so we may bump into you at some point

Warming the Bed
Hi, we came back from Gran Canaria last week, after delaying our holiday in May. We stayed in the IFA Faro, in Melonares, literally next door to the lighthouse. The hotel was excellent, no complaints at all, although I think we were the only British people there, but no problems with that. Champagne for breakfast everyday too! As for position, it was right on the front, and a 15-20 minute walk to Kiosk No 4, for nude sunbathing, and if you drifted into the dunes, for about the same time, you can have some great fun during the day. We had fun with some single guys, and a couple.
It is a €5 taxi ride to the Yumbo or cita center, so nothing is too far away.

Warming the Bed
can you go to la mirage for an evening?,would like to go in there to try it out with a veiw to staying there next is there a swinging section of the beach?,we found the nude beach last year but didnt see any are in playa 15th-22nd aug.
We went to La Mirage for the day in June (just before refurb)and had a great day after meeting Mandy in the Comeback bar... We got the impression that day guests had to leave at 6pm. Venus in the Cita centre was fantastic tho and that gets busy about 10pm have booked to go again in Sept!!

You can only visit la mirage in the daytime guys as after 6 the bar is closed as Mandy then goes off to get prepared for her running of the brilliant venus nightclub
La Mirage is well worth visiting during the day as you get a good idea of what to expect if you book your holiday there

We can fully recommend this hotel...it has just had a refurb too...the pool area is now amazing and the allinc is graet value for money...has a nudist roof terrace too xxx
