We are thinking of going to Thailand and want to know what is the best time of year to go when it's hot. Which are the best resorts to take in. We will def go to Bangkok but might take in a second resort too but not sure where? We were told to just book a couple of nights in a hotel in Bangkok in advance as there are loads of good quality cheaper hotels where can get when we get there - is that right? Can you recommend any good and interesting places we should visit or should try? Any info you give much appreciated.

When are you going, Pattaya is very good, excellent beaches to the north and south of Pattaya, beautiful little island Koh Samet to the south as well, we were there last year, and might go for a week in May this year

not long been back from thailand best time weathewr wise is nov to feb i was there xmas had 2 showers two nights running in phuket lasted an hour then that was it all the month i was there .. i stay a couple days in bkk you must visit the kings palace in bkk but must wear long trousers . it makes buck house look like a boarding house .great grounds great architecture and the emerald budda .you cannot take pics inside where budda is so make sure you get a few shots from outside the doorway
i use pattaya as a base it has everything you need cheap and expensive accom up to you .from there take 2or 3 day trip to the river kwai bridge not to be missed when in thailand .

phuket down south good but stay in hotel in town centre 1.5 hours flight from bkk . visit james bond island day trip and the beach where di caprio made the film we had day trip swam amongst coral visited several islands fed and watered ..anymore youd like to know just shout il give you addy to view pics
