Hey guy's just moved down this way a few weeks ago, would anyone mind if i tagged along would be good to meet a few people.
Having a great time down here so far, car broke down, keep being told i'm over qualified at interviews and the only job i found i lost after ending up on crutches at the weekend mad

So what do you guys say, fancy brightening up my fantastic week? rolleyes

It's nothing personal, but we just all prefer to know something about the people who are going to come along.
It's safer for all concerned that way. We don't want any problems and inviting unknown folks along may have it's complications.

I think I can speak for ALL that ose that turned up....well all FOUR of us !!!!, that it was a most enjoyable evening, even though the pub was a bit ?? cold.
Was nice to put a face to three of the names....Miss_Chief, Red Hot and Manolishi, with whom I had a pleasant evening. Nice to meet you three smile

Of course, for every upside there is a downside....and that is to those who pledged they were coming...and didn't !!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND.. not so much as a bye your leave, or EVEN a teensy weensy excuse as to why they could not be there.

An apology, an excuse, a reason....anything would be acceptable from those who said they were coming....but did'nt show :(
Anyway...to end on a happy note....We were practically thrown out, being the last to leave, and agreed that we should do it again sometime soon. a person has been nominated unanimously to organise the next one....but more of that later....
Needless to say, a haap yand enjoyable time was had by all (four) ..
Who said size matters ??? Us gang of four thoroughly enjoyed ourselves !!!!

I quite agree, Bill, I had a most enjoyable evening. It was yet again a very relaxed and chatty night and I am looking forward to another very soon :D
However, I do find it more than a tad irritating that if people go to the bother of asking to come along, that they don't even bother to send one of us a message to say they won't be coming after all rolleyes

Out of those who did not come, only one person bothered to send a message during the course of the evening, and that was even though we knew beforehand that due to his work and the distance involved that he would not be coming. He still had the manners to text and wish us an enjoyable night :D
Another member let us know via the forum. Again, it was good manners and we knew before the meet.
To the other's who simply did not let us know until afterwards, or in some cases not at all as yet, I am now wondering if they are genuine or just time wasters. How long does it take to make a call or send a text, pm or email??! confused

But hey ho, It was their loss not to be there and it doesn't deserve to cloud what was a fabulous night. Pity Jon had to work at such short notice, but I enjoyed myself and hopefully he can make the next one :D

I'm also delighted to see that it is a "She" that is organising the next one which lets me off the hook.
Maybe more people will be able to drag themselves away from a warm hearth in June if the weather bucks up a bit.

First off - sorry it has taken a while for me to get a post up here.
Not much to be said that has not already been said. :shock:
Thank you to all those who turned up, it was a fab evening although bloody cold. Mind you saying that - the view was impressive cool

To those who did turn up - a huge thanks for making the evening so enjoyable and an even bigger thanks to one very special person redface

Roll on April - lets hope it is warmer - remind me never to go to the same pub again in the winter
