Hi,
anyone going to the new club in Hanley this Sat 15th?
There doesn't seem much interest?
We are going tonight and know of several others
We went last night and can confirm that it was first class in all respects and we speak from experience having visited lots of clubs up and down the country. Obviously some are better than others but this is definitely one of the better ones. Recommended
Friends of ours went and gave a good report on the club but they will be at Atlantis tonight and so will we, Adventures is a club we will not be visiting at any time.
We went to Adventure last night 05/11/2011 on the opening night.
The place was just as I expected for an ex lap dancing bar... quite plush,
drinks were fairly priced, staff were helpful especially the couple behind the bar, the doorman & the guy in the suit showing people around.
There was some nice secluded/dark areas to play & a small dance floor with pole.
There was about fifty or so couples in & they were mostly locals I think.
On the down side it was a bit cold in some of the play areas, we also saw a fair few people fall over the steps.
Also it did have a younger persons feel to it,that didn't bother us as we knew dance type swingers clubs tend to attract the more show & no go type patrons who mostly go in groups/clique anyway & so make it dificult to meet new people.
The club did open on the night before & I think that caused some confusion.
The night was themed as a wear white/virgin dress code & as we made a trip out to buy something new, found that the hostess made an effort in red (shame).
Overall then we enjoyed the night & the club, yes they had some teething troubles but good overall.
We would visit again but it does need a wider audience to appeal to.
There are very few limited spaces on the club car park,
the other spaces are public pay & display not patroled/unmanned.
We have no connection with this club or its owners!
Looks like a fair and honest opinion to me, some good points some not so good who could ask for more than that.
Fab......... Fab.......... Fab...........
Sexy peeps, plush surroundings and not the slightest sleezy edge.
We went last Saturday, loads of sexy peeps, really friendly and the bar was cheap.
Please don't make this Atlantis v Adventures they both have charms and having been to each in the last week..... Stoke just got very interesting. Personnally I think adventures pips it with the licensed bar bar which is long making it easier o mix. Howeverits the toss of a coin rather than a like / dislike situation. Ed and Mo have done well to provide us a sophisticated and classy venue so should be applauded. More clubs needed lets encourage rather than condemn guys.
I can't actually see this club in the club reviews, if it is there a link to guide this guy to it would be good, if not simply opening up a review forthe club would seem to be right.
We will certainly be reviewing it next year and that review will be in the second edition of the book.
I have to admit, I am with Jed here a little bit in the sense that I am surprised that the original owners of Atlantis went and opened another club, after they had sold their previous one, down the road from the old venue.
It seems a little odd? Surely they could have actually just re-invested in their original club and re-vamped it in the same way the new owners did, or alternatively opened a club in a different area altogether.
The good news is that both clubs are getting good reviews. We have friends who travel all the way up to Atlantis from London on a fairly regular basis, so its clearly hitting the right note for people.
Wish both clubs and can only hope that people come from far and wide to visit them and they don't just have to depend on local business, which as Jed suggests probably isn't enough to sustain them both.
Some might believe that "all publicity is good publicty", sadly this is not always true.
We have not been to this club, we were looking forward to going, until we read the local paper where the owners opened thier doors up to the media.
The report was then followed to date by no less than 172 comments from local people and clubgoers alike, to put that in perspective the recent post in the same paper about the Rememberance Sunday Services got 2 replies.
Most were from people who believe that those going to the club are disease ridden perverts to quote some of the nicer comments.
Other are asking people to vandalise cars parked outside the club, or "out" those using it.
The bad comments are not helped by so called "club supporters" telling people to go onto sites like this to find out who in thier area are swingers and members, at least one person has done that and proved he does know someone from swinging sites that uses the club.
The club owners have denied being "swingers" proclaiming to be just business people who own a swingers club despite having profiles on several swinging sites which implies to me that they are ashamed of what they are and doesn't bode well with how they may discuss the actual members of thier club with non-swingers and the media in general.
The owners have done more damage to the swinging scene in one interview than all the members of this site could do in a year, I would now be too afraid of damage to my vehicle or even ourselves visiting this club with it's location, pictures, price lists and opening hours revealed to all and sundry.
Such a shame because we have heard that it is a well thought out, clean and well decorated club. Not all publicity is good publicity especially for a lifestyle that some people do need to keep private because of the very people they have announced it's arrival to.
