How can you possibly make sweeping statements about adverts in general from your experiences with your advert? We have never had a single timewaster, tosser etc ever reply to an advert of ours so we would say 0% of responders are tossers and timewasters. That is the problem with statistics, they can usually be manipulated to prove anything.
We have not had a problem with our ad at all really,the ones we were interested in who replyed to our ad,we got in touch with and with success,the one's we were not interested in we left alone....so can't prove who the timewasters were......so getting onto percentages.....we have had a 100% success rate with the three couples we have met so far!.....you cannot weed out the tossers and timewasters until you actually go on a meet....

How do you know that? You are guessing. You should only comment on your own experience and not generalise unless you have actually carried out a survey.
We have never had a bad reply to an ad. That is our experience. It is as valid as your experience and the statistics you quoted from it.
Our experience of the internet would suggest that tossers and timewasters come as couples, fems and single males. All categories seem to be in similar proportion to their non-tossing and non-timewasting counterparts...there are just many more single men than single women or couples so there will be a larger total number of men but not a larger percentage.

We are being completely honest and truthful when we say that. We do believe that timewasters exist, have met them in chat-rooms (often couples), but have never had one reply to an ad.

So you know that Dave is a liar? NWC? They haven't lied, they've said that in their experience, what you've said is not the case. How do you KNOW that everyone with an ad has had a reply from a tosser? You don't. So, you can't call them liars they say they haven't, you call them liars. So they can't prove anything. Simple, isn't it? The cars and milk were poor analogies by the way - you don't necessarily need milk to drink tea/coffee and you don't necessarily need a car park if you have a car.

Nope, not had any such reply from our ad. Had pm's from forum users yes, but not via the ads. Was giving Catlin as an example so you know I didn't lie about having the ad. We too, play with real people in this very real world. Are you suggesting that we are timewasters/tossers/messers?
The part that I've highlighted in red is not really a nice thing to say is it, whether it's about us or anyone who might have replied to our ad?

In the past, we've had ads with our email address on it, in case there were any people afraid to sign up for the site for whatever reason.
We got a LOT of fakes and advertising for other sites.
We were advertising in women seeking women and couples seeking women.
Most of the replies were from guys who didn't have the decency to respect our wishes, and contacted us even though we'd quite clearly said no guys. EASILY 40%.
We had quite a lot of guys pretending to be girls. They're usually easy to spot. Most of them are so stupid they just rip the sample images off porn sites, and don't even bother to crop the site name, and pretend it's them.
There's the ones who take pics off faceparty or whatever, and it's obviously harder to tell with those ones, but once you fire an email or two back and forward, you can usually tell.
We haven't had THAT many advertising wenbsites, or phone chat nonsense, but fair play to them (and no offense to those who DID fall for it), if you're daft enough to go for something like that, maybe getting fleeced once will make you wise up.
The few replies we've had from actual real women (shock!) have on the whole been very positive. Some have been great, and were exactly what we're looking for (if on the other side of the country), and some have been less so, but we've had a good bit of banter back and forwards, or some pic swapping, or webcam shenanigans.
Up until now, though, we've not met anyone in person. We're being very fussy, but then, i'd expect others to do the same. We don't want to meet people who want to meet us because we've got the right bits and bobs, we want to meet with people where there's a real mutual attraction. So we're still waiting. There's no hurry though, and i guess that's where a lot of people stumble.
They just expect this site, and others like it, to be a road to an easy lay. Just because we're (mostly) here looking specifically for sex doesn't mean we're any less selective about it.
