11 couples - OMG :scared: Starting to feel very nervous now! Well, I (Suff) am anyway.
We went to Partners on Sunday night, to get a "feel" wink

for the place and so we knew what to expect on Thursday. It was lovely - everyone very friendly etc etc. And there weren't that many people there, which was nice too, as if it had been packed I would probably have run away! redface

I was very nervous about dropping my towel, but after a few drinks I got brave and we did get in the pool and Jacuzzi (not at the same time of course!) and we also sampled the steam room and the mirror room biggrin

I know everyone is there for the same thing and that everyone's bodies are different sizes and shapes, and while I'm quite happy to prance about naked at home or in the car if we're out dogging, I get very . . err . . nervous about being naked infront of other people to start with.
Maybe that's a bit strange, considering what we're into lol, but perhaps it has something to do with being new to it all, and I'm hoping that after a while the nerves will go away and I'll think nothing of prancing about naked elsewhere too.
Did anyone else feel like this, or am I the only one? How did you get over it? Do you still get like it? Has anyone got any advice for me?

I have a feeling Lilacgem will be like that for a little while because it's her first visit to a club too. I've been telling her all week not to worry but it's probably made little difference, the nerves are understandable. Just for the record though, don't worry, there's no need.

Only just seen this thread as the bloody home pc packed up last week... If any woman is thinking of going tonight but is without a partner, I'd love to escort them. Went to the last 'group' outing a few weeks ago and loved it.
I know it's a slim chance, but worth a try. Hope everyone has fun anyway!

I'd like to thank everyone that came along and I was especially pleased to see Nick & Sheila again after what has been months away from the site.

Thanks Steve, yes I did have a good night & totally sober too :shock: lol You were right & there was nothing to worry about after all, but it was just a fear of the unknown, but thanks to you, Nick & Sheila I felt at ease & enjoyed the night biggrin

It was nice to meet a few others from Swinging Heaven too :D
Although next time we go I shall be better prepared lol instead of getting ready to go for a night out & doing hair/make up, I will tie my hair up, don a pair of jeans & t shirt & forget the makeup lol that way I'll enjoy the pool/jacuzzi much better :D :D

Well . . . . . You are so gonna laugh at us! (well, me, anyway) redface

We went to Partners last night. Got there about , drove past and saw all the cars parked up and down the street (that weren't there on Sunday night and figured they belonged to all the people in the club) and I (Suff) just couldn't go in. :cry:
I'd been nervous but excited all day, we'd got ready after work and travelled all the way there, and when we got there, the sight of all those cars and knowing that there were loads of people inside just freaked me out big time and I made Kezz turn the car round and bring me home again! surprised

I don't know why I couldn't go in, as Sunday night was no problem. And I know everyone's friendly and there for the same things. Kezz said to go in and keep my cothes on, but that would have just made me feel even worse cos everyone else would have their towels on (or not lol).
If I'd got through the door I'd probably have been alright, could have said hi and relaxed and then seen what happened, but I couldn't do it. sad

How can I get over this initial nervousness/fear? Has anyone else felt like this? How did they get over it? Does it ever go away?

All i can suggest is that if possible you get there a little earlier or arrange to meet some people beforehand and all go in together. I didn't think there were that many people in Partners last night but it's a big place so you never know. If you were to get there a little earlier and get settled in then you probably wouldn't notice the others arriving as much.
